ROUGH day yesterday and the only thing I can say is that we got some losing out of our systems as we go into the biggest Sunday of the NFL Betting season! Sixers lose at the buzzer, Jets start late, and Michigan takes their first loss of the season – they are now 17-1. Jackhammer pushes at 6 so we get out money back on that one. Today’s games are going to be fun to watch so get your bets in, get your beverages of choice, sit back and enjoy the games. KOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOFSPORTS!
Rams / Saints Over (56.5) – We will kick off Championship Sunday with an over and I can’t think of a better way to kick the day off than by cheering for an over! These two teams already played in New Orleans earlier this season and there were 80 total points scored. These two teams come into this matchup with the #2 and #3 ranked offenses in the league with the Rams averaging 32.8 ppg and the Saints averaging 30.8 ppg. The average total points scored in games played in the Mercedes Benz this season is 60. Granted the Saints only scored 20 at home last week but that was against a Top 10 Eagles defense. I expect this rematch of the regular season matchup to be a similar SHOOTOUT. Drew Brees and Jared Goff threw for 737 combined passing yards in the first matchup against two defense that rank in the bottom half of the league in passing defense (Rams #16 and Saints #29. Now if you look at total score results for games each of these teams played an opponent with a Top 10 ranked offense the average is 66.2. The Saints average total score against opponents with Top 10 offenses is 66.75 and the Rams is 65.8 but if you take out that one Bears game it is 74.8. This one should live up to the hype and be an absolute shootout. I got the over in this one and it has all the potential to go WAYYYYYYYYYYY over.
Patriots (+140) – 57% of the public money is on the Chiefs -3. EVERYONE is picking against the Patriots, just like they did last week against the Chargers where all the experts said the Patriots didn’t have the same level of talent as the Chargers. “Tom Brady has a wet noodle for an arm” – Max Kellerman. Tom Brady threw for 343 against a Top 10 passing defense last week. Then Max claimed that anyone could do that. Ok. Anyways, Brady will be facing a Chiefs defense today that ranked 30th out of 32 against the pass this season. He threw for 340 in the first meeting between these two teams. Not only did the Chiefs get torched through the air all season but they ranked 27th out of 32 against the run. If you watched the Patriots/Chargers game last week you saw how balanced this Patriots offense was and that allowed them to take control of that game pretty quickly. Now let’s give the Chiefs the credit they deserve. They had the BEST offense in the league this season averaging 35.1 points per game. Patrick Mahomes has earned himself the MVP, no question about that. They were dominant this season and they were in all 4 of the games they loss right until the end as each of those 4 losses were decided by one score or less. The Chiefs earned the home field advantage in this one and there is no question Arrowhead will be rocking. The thing about this matchup is that the Chiefs relied on the big play all season and the average number of plays on their touchdown drives was 6. The Patriots defense has been bend but don’t break all season and they have only given
