1/23 Gold Review 3-1-1

NBA: 7:00 EST Wizards @ Cavs The Wizards are 4-6 over their last 10. The Cavs are 2-8 over their last 10. The Wizards have scored 114.7 points per game and allowed 120.1 points per game this season. The Cavs have averaged 104.8 points per game and allowed 113.9 points per game this season. I think the over is the play in this game since both of these teams don’t know what defense is.

8:00 EST Lakers @ Nets LeBron gets to visit his old buddy Kyrie. The Lakers have won 8 of their last 10 games. The Nets have lost 8 of their last 10 games. The Lakers are on a back to back but they are only going from New York to Brooklyn so they probably stayed in the same hotel last night. The Lakers are undefeated on the second night of back to backs coming in with a 5-0 record in those games on the season. The Nets have lost 4 straight to playoff caliber teams and 3 of those 4 losses came by 10 points or more. I think the Lakers will run away with this one.

10:30 EST

Mavericks @ Blazers These two teams have already played twice this season and they split 1-1. Both of the first two meetings went over 229. The Mavs have scored 120, 127, and 124 in recent games including the 120 which was against the Blazers last Friday. The Blazers have scored 129, 112, 117, and 115 in recent games including 112 against the Mavs last Friday. I’m liking over 229 in this game tonight, especially since the first two head to head meetings between these teams went OVER.

CBB: 8:30 EST Michigan State @ Indiana Michigan State got smoked in their last road game 71-42. However, the Spartans have won 9 of their last 10 and they have beaten common opponents that Indiana has lost to. Michigan State is averaging 78.3 points per game this season. Their team total is 72 tonight. They have scored 72+ in 14 of their 18 games this season. So over 72 total points for the Spartans is hitting at 78% this season. I’ll take those odds!

11:00 EST

USC @ Oregon Both teams come in winners of 4 of their last 5. This will be the first ranked opponent for USC this season. 7 of Oregon’s last 10 wins have come by 10 points or less. I’m rolling with the underdogs in this one, USC +9
