1/23 VIP Picks Review 2-0
2-0 last night with a JACKHAMMER win and it’s officially a hot streak! 6-2 this week, 8-3 run since Sunday! NHL will be off until Monday so we will focus on NBA and CBB. Let’s see what we have for tonight to keep the streak going! KOOOOOFSPORTS!
NBA:
8:00 EST
Lakers (-5) - Anthony Davis is questionable but I’m thinking he will play. The Lakers should work the Nets tonight. The Nets have 4 straight losses to playoff caliber teams and they have gone 2-8 over their last 10. 3 of the last 4 losses came by double digits. The Lakers are 8-2 in their last 10 and one of those losses was a suspect 1 point loss to the Magic. I like the Lakers to roll tonight against the Nets on TNT. It is the second night of a back to back but they probably stayed in the same hotel last night just going from New York to Brooklyn. Regardless, back to backs haven’t phased the Lakers this season and they are 5-0 in them this season. Give me the Lake Show. LeBron vs Kyrie, get the 🍿 ready.
10:30 EST
1st Half
Mavericks (-1.5) - I was thinking about the over in this game since the first two head to head meetings went over 229 with total scores of 232 and 240. Seems good but then I found this Mavs 1st half -1.5 which I like even better. The Mavs were up 12 at half in the first head to head matchup and they were up 9 at half against the Blazers last Friday night. I’m liking that trend tonight and the Mavs should take atleast a 2 point lead into half time. You guys who have to get up early for work tomorrow only have to stay up until halftime of the late game tonight, you’re welcome!
2 plays again today with no hockey due to the All Star Break. I was eyeing Michigan State for CBB, winners of 9 of their last 10 but their last road loss against Purdue 71-42 is spooking me.
