The ol 0 for last night going 0-3 although all three games were close. Auburn was getting smoked but came back and had a 5 minute lead with less than a minute to go in overtime but found a way to cough it up. Florida State had multiple leads late in the second half and found a way to gag it up. The Celts and Heat came up a little short of the over for us. As bad as an 0-3 day looks, we are 2-3 on the week and that really doesn’t hurt that bad since that is the only losing day we have had in the last week. Let’s see what we have for tonight to get back on track.
Before we get to that, I have to give a quick update on the blog. So back in September, we changed the blog app that we were using through the web host due to a few glitches. We are now switching back to that blog app because the one we are using is being discontinued. This change will not affect your experience but if you were wondering why the design isn’t exactly the same, that is why. Now let’s get the fucking HAMMER OUT!
Cross Sport Parlay:
Pacers ML / Baylor ML (-112) - J A C K H A M M E R - The Pacers have had a few days off to rest up after their West Coast road trip. They will also get a boost tonight when Victor Oladipo returns to action. He will likely just come off of the bench but he will certainly help out, he is averaging 17.5 ppg in his career. The Pacers will be hosting the Bulls who they have already beat 108-95 and 116-105 this season with the most recent game coming on Jan 10. Both wins coming by 10+ points explains the 9 point spread but we only need them to win straight up for this parlay since we are taking the moneyline. Then we have #1 Baylor who we have taken a few times lately. They come in on a 16 game winning streak and they have shown the ability to win on the road this season. Baylor is 4-0 on the road and two of those wins were against ranked opponents. Tonight’s game will be against 9-10 Iowa State. The two teams just played back on Jan 15 and Baylor gave ISU that work winning 68-55. ISU is 1-5 against ranked opponents tonight so you have to think it’ll be a tall task for them to knock off the #1 team in the Nation tonight. This parlay is coming in at just under even money. Let’s call this one the HUMPDAY HAMMER!
Capitals (-155) - The Caps got it done for us on Monday and we are going to ride them again tonight when they host the Predators. The Caps have now won 4 of their last 5 and they are 1-0 since the All-Star break. The Predators have lost 3 of their last 5 and they suffered an ugly 5-2 loss against the Leafs in their first game back from the break. The Caps have the best record in the league and they are also 15-5-4 at home this season. I like them at home tonight against the struggling Predators.
West Virginia (+2.5) - West Virginia comes in 16-3 on the season although they are just 3-3 on the road. However, Texas Tech has been going through a bit of a skid losing 4 of their last 6 games and one of those losses was a 66-54 loss against this same West Virginia team back on Jan 11. West Virginia played great defense in the second half of that game holding TT to 23 points in the second half. WVU was also more physical on the boards and they outrebounded TT 46-33. Another eye popping number in that game was that WVU got to the free throw line 35 times while TT only got to the line 7 times. Different teams and different style of play but 35 free throws to 7 is an advantage. WVU struggled from 3 point land in that game going 3-15 yet they still won by 12. I am liking WVU as an “underdog” on the road tonight.
