NFL: 8:15 EST Seahawks (-2.5) - BIG game for the Seahawks tonight. With the 49ers loss yesterday, that opens the door for the Seahawks to leap frog them for the NFC West lead AND the NFC #1 seed. BIG game for the Seahawks tonight. The Seahawks will be at home tonight where they are 3-2 this year and that may not seem that impressive but the two losses came to the Ravens and the Saints, two teams with a combined record of 20-4. The Vikings come in at 8-3 but they haven’t beat a team that currently has a winning record. I’d also like to point out that the Vikings took Ls to two backup quarterbacks this year - Chase Daniel of the Bears and Matt Moore of the Chiefs. Matt Moore threw for 275 yards on them. Russell Wilson is MUCH better than both of those QBs combined and he continues to make plays. He has thrown 24 touchdowns to just 3 interceptions this season. The Seahawks are coming off of a good road win at Philly in a game that wasn’t as close as it looked. It’ll be nice for them to come into this Monday Night game with the extra day of rest and preparation for this Vikings team. The Seahawks are the better team and they realize how big of an opportunity they have in front of them at home tonight. I think they will make the plays that they need to in order to take advantage. GO SEAHAWKS!
NHL: 7:30 EST Islanders (-200) - JACKHAMMER - I know some of you will be upset with this play at -200 on the moneyline but it’s risk 2 units to win 1. Don’t play it if you have a problem with it. After a weekend like we had, I’ll take a -200 that’s pretty close to a guaranteed thing. The Red Wings have lost 9 games in a row and have been outscored by 20 goals in their last five games. The Islanders come in 17-5-2 to the Red Wings 7-19-3. The Islanders have put together a couple good winning streaks already this season winning 10 in a row and 5 in a row on separate streaks. They are coming off of a win in their last game and they should get another streak going against a bad Detroit tea
