Well we ended up with a losing night but we were pretty close to a 3-0 night and a 4-1 start to the week. Michigan 20-2 goes in and loses to an 8-15 Penn State team. We didn’t need them to cover, just win the fucking game and they couldn’t do that for us. They are officially on my shit list. Then the Preds and Red Wings were at 5 goals with 15 minutes left in the 3rd period but they couldn’t get us 1 more – not even an empty netter. You guys who have been around for a while know I’m a straight shooter and I don’t try to dance around losing streaks. It’s been a cold stretch for sure but man I have to be honest, there have been a lot of games with results that are just complete opposite of what the trends show. Some of them just don’t make any sense. The good news is that pitchers and catchers have reported to Spring Training and baseball is right around the corner.

NBA:

Warriors (-150) – The Warriors are 6-1 on back to backs this year so I’m not too concerned about that. However, 2 of their 3 wins on back to backs that weren’t against horrible teams (Suns/Bulls) were decided by 2 points or less. The Warriors have matched up well with the Blazers this year and they are 2-1 with the one loss coming by 1 point. They won the other two games by 28 and 10. Warriors have been unstoppable and have won 9 of their last 10. Blazers, eh they’ve been aiiight but they haven’t been that good. They have lost 3 of their last 5 games even though 2 of them were on the road. Give me Warriors moneyline tonight only because it’s a back to back and I don’t feel like getting burnt by 1 point. For the record, Warriors will probably blow them out.

Rockets (-3) – The last time and only time these two teams played this season was on December 3rd and that was just before the ridiculous Harden 30+ game streak started where the Rockets have gone 22-9. The Rockets have been even better as of late and have won 4 of their last 5 overall games and 4 of their last 5 road games. The TWolves have lost 4 of their last 5 and don’t seem to have anyone who will slow down Harden. 30+ for Harden and a 3+ point win for us.

NHL:

Penguins (-180) – Both teams in this matchup have been going through a cold stretch losing 4 of their last 5. The Penguins have lost close games against good teams and they have been on the road so I’m not as concerned about their “struggles” as I am with the Oilers who have been outscored by 7 goals in their last 2 games combined. I’ll take the Penguins are home tonight and I’ll take the juice with it because we need a winner.

Canucks (-115) – Two bad teams meet up tonight when the Canucks go on the road to play the Ducks. The Canucks have lost 4 of their last 5. The Ducks have lost 19 of their last 21 and they just fired their head coach. The Ducks last 8 losses have been by 2 goals or more. Although the Canucks have been bad, they just beat the Flame
