2/26 VIP Picks

Could things have gone a little better for us last night? Sure. If the Lightning didn’t have a major let down in the 3rd allowing 3 goals and blowing their 2 goal lead we would have went 2-0. We got 1-1 and as long as you bet the same amount on each pick, you came out with a small profit thanks to the +106 parlay hitting. I’m not saying that to brag about it I’m just clarifying that last night wasn’t a losing night. Let’s see what we have for tonight.

Flyers (-155) – The Sabres have been struggling and they have lost 5 of their last 6 games. The struggles go back longer than that and they are just 8-17 in their last 25. The Flyers have been good at home and are 9-3 in their last 12 home games even though the last one was at the Eagles NFL stadium (right next door). The last time these two played, the Flyers won 6-2. I’ll take the hotter team at home tonight.

Bruins / Sharks Over (6) – A recent matchup between these two teams produced 11 total goals and we should see the same two goalies tonight. The Bruins will be playing their first home game in two weeks and the crowd should be rocking after the Bs went 4-1 on their road trip. This will be the Sharks fourth straight road game and they are coming off of a 5-3 win against the Red Wings. A nice stat in this one is that both teams have scored 3 or more goals in 8 of their last 10 games. There have been 9 total goals scored in 2 of the last 3 Bruins’ home games. I like the over in this one tonight.

Magic (-7.5) – As pathetic as it is, the 28-33 Magic are still in playoff contention and they are just 1/2 a game out of the 8th spot in the East. They are coming off of a double digit win against the 2nd place Raptors so there is some belief from their fans that there may be some Magic in the air. They have won 7 of their last 9 and all 7 of those wins have been by double digits. The Knicks are a little different now than earlier in the season when these teams played but the Magic have won both meetings by 14 and 26. I’ll take the Magic tonight with their recent hot streak and how bad the Knicks are.
