Not the greatest day yesterday, two of the top teams went down very unexpectedly and played terrible. Some people say that any team can win on any given Sunday. I say that games can and will be fixed on any given Sunday. I’m feeling the pain today as I went heavier than heavy on my teaser of the day but I was able to bounce back with the Cubs, no runs in the first, and the Sunday Night teaser I tweeted with the Boys and the under. Today’s a new day and you can’t dwell on the past!

THEME for the MLB this week, I usually post in the morning/afternoon so it’s before I see that final lineups. I project lineups based on each match up but YOU HAVE to check each lineup before you bet on any MLB teams this week. There are already some teams that have clinched and there will be more that clinch since this is the final week of the regular season. For you guys that have been around for a while, you know that I get really sketched out by the final week of the regular season in all sports, not just baseball. I won’t be posting any picks where I don’t think a team has anything to play for but make sure you check the lineups before you put your bets in.

Cubs – They have a .379 avg against Kuhl in a small sample size and I think if the studs play, the Cubs are going to hit the ball hard tonight which will lead to another win. I think that you will see the starters tonight because if you didn’t know, a win tonight would be the 100th win of the season for this Cubs team. That is something to play for and I like the Cubs tonight.

Jays – they are looking to run away with the wild card and are looking to do damage this week to set up a series in Fenway next weekend for the division. J.A. Happ will be going tonight and he has held the Yankees to a .257 avg in 191 at bats. Give me the Jays.

Monday Night Football:

Straight bet:

Saints (-2.5) at home, I like them in a close, back and forth, high scoring game.

Saints (+3.5) / Over 48.5 – that looks pretty good and it’s high scoring but that’s expected with these two offenses. 27-24? I could see that. I would play the teaser if you don’t trust the Saints to win outright.

I don’t know how many of you guys follow politics but tonight will be a very interesting debate. Here are some prop bets for fun: (offered on Sportsbook.ag)
