12/27

Both teams we bet on yesterday didn’t show up. Maybe the few days off for the Raptors actually hurt them because they had won 12 of their last 13 before losing last night. Not only did they win 12 of 13 but they dominated teams in that stretch. Burnt. As for the Bowl game we took yesterday – WVU didn’t show up and that has been the case in multiple bowl games that we have taken so far. The problem with most of these bowl games is that they don’t matter. You really can’t be sure what you are going to get. I would just warn to be cautious with betting the bowl games until Monday, those games matter. Luckily NHL is back tonight, you probably wouldn’t think that we would be saying that earlier this season but we have won 8 of our last 11 bets in hockey. Let’s get to the picks:

NHL:

Devils ML 5x hockey sticks – not bad value on the moneyline tonight for a favorable matchup. The Devils are 4-0-1 in their last 5 and they will host the Red Wings tonight who are 2-2-1 in their last 5. The Devils have also covered the (-1.5) in 3 of their last 4 wins.

Avalanche 5x hockey sticks – Guess who the Avs are playing tonight!? The Coyotes. Guess who sucks? The Coyotes. The Coyotes are 1-4 in their last 5 games but that 1 win was against the Caps last Friday and that fucked us. I don’t think they will be fucking us tonight and I think there is good value on the Avalanche who are 3-1-1 in their last 5.

Bruins ML 5x hockey sticks – it’s a heavy moneyline but for good reason. The Bruins are HOT right now and have won 4 of their last 5 games. The Sens have lost 3 in a row. I like the Bs to stay hot tonight at The Garden when the Sens come to town.

I’m pretty confident that these NHL picks will go undefeated tonight.

NCAAF:

Do we dabble with another bowl game? With this matchup, I don’t see how we can’t.

Iowa ML (-135) 4x footballs – only reason this is 4x footballs and not 5x is due to the fact that none of the bowl games have really went the way they should have this season (so far). In steps Iowa taking on Boston College. Iowa had that 2 point loss to #4 Penn State earlier this season and that ass whooping on #6 Ohio State 55-24. Boston College had themselves a decent year but they got rolled over by 2 of the top 25 opponents that they played. They did play a tough games against #23 NC State when they lost 17-14. This game is being played at Yankee Stadium tonight where it will be 25 degrees with a windchill of 15 degrees. 10 MPH winds and freezing temps will lead to both of these teams relying on the ground game. I think that will give Iowa the advantage as their rushing defense is ranked 37th in NCAA D1 allowing 143 yards per game while BC’s rushing defense is ranked 96th allowing 198 yards per game. I like Iowa to get the win here.

(-120 club) – we haven’t played one of these for a while – Cavs, Warriors, Bruins, Devils, Avalanche all moneylines pays (+411)
