4/10 VIP Picks

Tough break last night with the Rockies going down but we hit the Angels (easy), Astros (close), and Thunder (easy) to go 3-1! Great night! Could have been better if I went with my gut on Mets & Indians but we played it safe and stayed away. The Rockies were the “play of the day” I’ve thrown that term around here and there but I don’t feel like it fits because I haven’t used it every day so technically, it shouldn’t be “play of the day.” Starting today, you will see “JACKHAMMER 🔨🔨🔨🔨🔨” next to certain plays that I absolutely LOVE. It won’t necessarily be every day but when you see that, you can be pretty confident in that. I will also be tracking the JACKHAMMER plays record. Here’s a definition of a JACKHAMMER pick: Ultimate confidence level, throw out the bankroll management & odds for these picks, targeting a 80% win rate so you can be confident doubling down or tripling down on these plays. Now, let’s get to today’s picks.

MLB:

Astros (Keuchel) (-155) ⚾️⚾️⚾️⚾️ - the Astros are 9-2 but the bearded one hasn’t got his first win of the season yet. Tonight’s the night. With a .333 avg & .600 slg% in 60 at bats against Odorizzi, the Astros lineup should hang at least 5 runs on him tonight. Keuchel hasn’t had great success against this Twins lineup but he should be good enough tonight with the run support he should get from his squad.

Mets (deGrom) (-195) ⚾️⚾️⚾️⚾️⚾️ - big moneyline here but for good reason, the Mets are tied for the best record in baseball and they have been the most profitable team in baseball. Like I said before the season, if they stay healthy, they will be dangerous. They are healthy tonight and they are worth the (-195) price tag with deGrom pitching against this Marlins lineup who he has struck out 18 times in 63 at bats (29%). The Mets have never seen Caleb Smith but they will get their first crack at him tonight, they should be excited.

Nats/Braves OVER (7) ⚾️⚾️⚾️⚾️ - select both listed pitchers for action in this one. Here’s one I suggest waiting until the last minute to put in because it’s a little low for the numbers each projected lineup has against the opposing starter. As soon as the lineups are released, throw it in. The Braves have a .300 avg in 110 at bats against Strasburg. The Nats have a .275 avg in 91 at bats against Folty. It was a low scoring game last night but Scherzer dominated. I like the scoring to open up tonight similar to the first series these two teams played last week when all 3 games went over 7. The Braves are averaging 6.20 runs a game and the Nats are averaging 4.70 runs per game. Let’s see the runs pile up tonight like our bank accounts 💰

Check back in by 5 pm EST. May add another play or two.
