NBA:

Cavs (ML) - what did we see in Game 1? The fact that Brad Stevens is a much better coach than LeBron James, I mean Tyron Lue. One might think that will lead to another blowout win for the Celtics tonight in Game 2 but I’m here to tell you why the Cavs will win this game tonight. The Cavs were blown out by the Pacers in Game 1 of their first round series 98-80. The Cavs came back and won Game 2 100-97. That might not look convincing but here’s a stat for you, the Cavs took 22 free throws in that game compared to the 12 that the Pacers took. Looking further back, LeBron led teams are 3-0 in Game 2s after a Game 1 loss since 2011. Coincidence? You might think so, I don’t. The league wants LeBron in the Finals. They want to even this thing up tonight and they will do #WhateverItTakes, just watch.

NHL:

Capitals ML - The CAPS have been the dominant team so far this series and they have a plus 6 goal differential in two games on the road. There’s nothing to make me think that they won’t continue their dominance on their home ice tonight. These fans have waited years to get over the “hump” and when this Caps team takes the ice tonight, that arena will be electric. Caps get a boost of energy from it and win this one big.

MLB:

Rockies (Marquez) (-115) - The Rockies will take on Jordan Lyles who they have hit hard - .305 avg & .561 slg% in 82 at bats. Marquez has good numbers against the Padres and he’s held them to a .176 avg in 34 at bats. He went 3 scoreless innings against them earlier this season. Give me the Rockies in some day action.

Red Sox (Rodriguez) (-190) - The Sox have great numbers against Mengden - .316 avg in 38 at bats. Rodriguez has held this A’s lineup to a .119 avg in 42 at bats. Look for the Sox to have a big night at the plate while ERod shuts the A’s down. One thing I'll caution is that there might be some rain in the area tonight so I would wait until 5 or 6 p.m. est, and check the up to date forecast before you lock this one in. Although, ERod had a rain delay in his last game and he came back out after 45 minutes and struck out the side.
