5/18 VIP Picks
2-1 last night but the 2 wins were BIG WINS! Rockies hit at +130 and the Tigers hit at +162! It took balls to play two huge underdogs after the way we started the week but the numbers were just too good to pass up and the risk PAID off! As for the 1 loss, NHL has been a complete mind fuck this week. I think we have a good opportunity for tonight’s game. Let’s get to the picks. But seriously, Rockies +130 & Tigers +162! WHO LET THE DOGS OUT!?
"KOF, KOF LET THE DOGS OUT!"

MLB:
Nationals (Scherzer) (-215) - you all know I don’t typically play -200 or lower but since we hit two huge dogs last night I’m playing the -215 on Scherzer tonight. The Nats just don’t cover the -1.5 enough for me to be confident in it. Thanks to some rain the last few days we get Scherzer against this Dodgers lineup who ranks 16th in runs per game instead of the Yanks who rank 1st in runs per game. Scherzer has held this Dodgers lineup to a .165 avg in 103 at bats. Look for him to dominate tonight and the Nats can get him a run or two, that’s all he will need.
Braves - Update 6:23. I’m still rolling with the Braves even though there was a pitching change.
Yankees (Sabathia) (-172) - Sabathia has always dominated the Royals lineup and he’s held them to a .196 avg in 102 career at bats. The Yanks will be up against the up and coming Jakob Junis but they hit him hard last season in their only time facing him on September 25th. They scored 6 runs off of Junis and they won that game 11-3. The Judge took him deep in that game. The Yanks haven’t played a full game since Sunday so they will be looking to get back out tonight to keep their winning ways going.

NHL:
Golden Knights / Jets OVER (5.5) - Thank you Vegas for putting this line up at 5.5. That is the best gift I’ve received on a Friday in a while. 2 of the 3 games in this series have gone over 5.5. Let’s take a look at each teams scoring patterns in the 5 games before this series. The Golden Knights scored 3, 5, 0, 4, 3, & 5.The Jets scored 5, 0, 6, 1, 7, and 4. So if we add those game totals up with the corresponding games, 8, 5, 6, 5, 10, & 9 and 4 out of 6 would have gone over. You might think that’s a tough simulation to run because the Sharks are not the Jets and the Golden Knights are not the Predators. I would say the Sharks are similar to the Jets and the Predators are better than the Golden Knights. I like the over tonight and if I had to pick a side, I would take the Jets to even the series up 2-2.
