5-1 last night and both JACKHAMMERS hit! Never again do I want to rely on a Greg Monroe lefty hook with 23.9 seconds left to cover the +10.5 but I’ll take it! That makes us 11-2 in the last 3 days, let’s keep the fire blazing today!
MLB:
Cardinals (Flaherty) (-118) - Trevor Williams will pitch for the Pirates today and he’s been pretty good for them this season. However, this Cardinals lineup has a .362 avg & .596 slg% in 47 career at bats against him. I like that matchup a lot and that’s got me liking the Cards to do some damage with the bats today.
Dodgers (Wood) (-1.5) - After covering the run line last night, the Dodgers have now covered the -1.5 in their last 4 wins. I like them to make it 5 tonight and let me tell you why. They have a .347 avg & .541 slg% in 98 at bats against Jordan Lyles. Look for the Dodgers to take Lyles for a trip to #poundtown.
Giants (Stratton) (+165) - underdog alert in Chicago today! The Giants will come in with a .311 avg & .467 slg% in 90 at bats against Jose Quintana. No one in the Cubs lineup has ever faced Stratton. I’m relying on the Giants to score early and often in this one.
Brewers (Anderson) (-150) - you guys probably thought that I was going back to the under for this matchup since we hit it the last 2 nights but I’m changing it up. Jason Vargas will be pitching for the Mets and we always take advantage of the matchup when he’s pitching. He comes into this game with a 9.87 ERA. LOL. Brewers should give him another beating today.
Braves (Newcomb) (+130) - Another underdog here but the matchup certainly says otherwise. Newcomb comes into this game 5-1 with a 2.39 ERA. Drew Pomeranz will start for the Sox and the Braves have a .471 avg in a small sample size of 17 at bats. I think this Braves offense will explode today and they will give Newcomb plenty of run support.
NBA:
Rockets / Warriors Under (212.5) - The first 2 games of this series went over but I’ve noticed a nice trend in the last 3 games, they have slowed down and all 3 went under 212.5. I think that will continue tonight. The spread suggests that this one will be a blowout and I couldn’t agree more. I think the Warriors come out hot and run away with this one. The Rockets will start the game without Chris Paul but they will finish the game with all of their starters on the bench. Why? The Warriors will be blowing them out by the end of the 3rd and D’antoni will elect to rest his starters in the 4th so that they are fresh for a Game 7 back in Houston. Under.
