Does this look like the face of a complete fucking idiot who decided to run 5 fake Twitter accounts to bash his players and make himself look better?
Trust the process Philly, trust the process. GM of the Philadelphia 76ers Bryan Colangelo is being investigated for running up to five (who knows how many more) fake accounts where he has been trashing his own players. Colangelo admitted to using one of the accounts @Phila1234567 (REAL FUCKING ORIGINAL) but has denied using or being involved in the other four accounts.
These accounts have been used to trash his own players including the face of the franchise Joel Embiid, number one pick Markelle Fultz, and former players Jahlil Okafor/Nerlens Noel. These accounts also questioned the Sixers coaching staff and former General Manager Sam Hinkie. They also criticized Toronto Raptors President Masai Ujiri who worked under Colangelo before eventually replacing him in Toronto.
If that’s not enough to prove that these five accounts were run by Colangelo or he was involved, here’s some more fuel on the fire. When The Ringer contacted the Philadelphia 76ers about these accounts, they were changed from public to private within three hours. @SixersAdam took it to the next level and went to reset the passwords on the accounts and all of them had a phone number ending in 91. GAME OVER. Colangelo is involved with all of these accounts who have been trashing players, coaches, former employees, and leaking information to the media to make himself look better.
So what does this mean? Well, the guy in charge of running the process is literally trashing the process. That’s not a good look and I can imagine that there’s tension building pretty quickly within the Sixers organization. I would not be shocked if Colangelo gets fired over this and I think that’s the only way that this situation can be fixed. You think players are going to be motivated to play for a guy who they know has been bashing them with alter egos? Naw, YOU?
There’s been social media issues that have popped up before with players and coaches commenting on things (KD) when they forgot to switch to their fake accounts but nothing like this has ever gone public. What a creative fuck, it all seemed like such a great idea until you get caught, you are so fucked Colangelo. Fires are burning in Philly and it’s not Trust the Process anymore, it’s SAVE THE PROCESS!
