6/1 VIP Picks

3-0 last night for a nice bounce back day after a tough luck 0-4 day. Now we are 8-4 in our last three days. With the close of the month of May, I took some time this morning to calculate our MLB results….ARE YOU READY FOR THIS!?

MLB Picks:

May 60-34 (64%) - $100 on each profited $1,562

We hit more underdogs in May than April which is a nice trend to see. Overall, you’d be up $2,185 if you put $100 on every MLB VIP Pick since the start of the season. For you bigger ballers, $1,000 on each would profit $21,850. Is that even good?

No NHL or NBA tonight but we do have some good MLB matchups so let’s get to the picks.

Indians / Twins Under (8.5) - Lock this one in as soon as possible because I’m thinking it will drop as we get closer to first pitch. What a pitching matchup in this one with Carrasco and Berrios going head to head. Both of them have great numbers against the opposing lineups tonight. Carrasco has held the Twins to a .214 avg in 112 at bats with a 31% strikeout rate. Berrios has held the Indians lineup to a .151 avg in 73 at bats. 8.5 is a bargain on this under! Again, similar to the matchup between the Dodgers and Phillies yesterday, recent games for both of these teams have been going over but there has not been a pitching matchup like this. Under. Under. Under.

Red Sox (Sale) (+109) - I’ll take Chris Sale as an underdog. The Sox had covered the run line in 9 out of their last 11 games before losing last night to the Astros. Sale will be on the mound for them and he’s coming off of his worst start of the year but before that loss, he hadn’t allowed more than 3 earned runs in any of his 11 starts. He’s got good numbers against this Astros lineup and he’s held them to a .233 avg in 73 at bats. The Sox will be up against Gerrit Cole who they have a .275 avg and they beat him on Opening Day last season when he was on the Pirates (I was there and I was right next to the bomb Benintendi hit off of him. Look for me in this vid - red hoodie to the right of the bullpen: I take my hat off and wave it in the video.

Angels (Barria) (-150) - The Angels will take on the Rangers and Bartolo Colon tonight and it should be batting practice for them. They have an eye popping .367 avg in 128 at bats with 9 homeruns (Trout & Pujols both have 3 against him). This is a great price on the moneyline for a matchup with these kind of numbers. Jaime Barria will pitch for the Angels and the Rangers lineup is a career 0-11 against him. Barria has been very good for the Angels this season and has allowed 2 earned runs or less in 5 out of his 6 starts. I expect him to have another solid start tonight and the Angels lineup should give him PLENTY of run support.

Brewers (Anderson) (-131) - The Brewers have won 7 out of the 10 games that Chase Anderson has started this season. The Brewers lineup also has good numbers against Hector Santiago who will start for the White Sox tonight. Brew Crew has brewed up a .288 avg & .519 slg% in 52 at bats against Santiago. The Brewers have won 4 out of their last 5 and the White Sox have lost 4 straight. Take the Brewers and have a nice cold beer tonight.
