East Coast Sports Betting 1:30 EST TODAY!

Today is literally Christmas Day in June for sports bettors on the East coast, legal sports betting will make its’ debut today. At 1:30 p.m. EST, sports bettors will be able to legally place bets on MLB, NBA, NHL, and NFL games at three locations across the state of Delaware including Delaware Park, Dover Downs, and Harrington Raceway & Casino.

You may not be aware of this but Delaware has allowed three team parlays on NFL games since 2009. However, starting today they will offer all types of wagers on all professional sports. Throw out the parlay cards and start hammering the straight bets, that’s where you will be most profitable.

It’s an off day for the NBA and NHL finals so all of the wagering will be done on MLB games, good thing there’s a full slate. For any of you guys who will be making the trip to one of these locations to place your first legal bet, here’s a good one for you - Cardinals (-1.5) (Martinez). The Marlins have lost five straight games and haven’t covered the run line in 4 out of 5 of those losses. On top of that, Carlos Martinez has held the Marlins projected lineup to a .152 avg in 46 career at bats. Joe Urena will start for the Marlins and they have lost all 12 of the games that he has started this season.

I’m excited to see how the turn out is at all three venues today. I would expect a lot of people to be taking today off from work to go in and place their first legal bets. I will not be making the 5+ hour drive from Mass but I will be in Philly on Sunday so I might head down on Sunday to get some legal action in. If any of you guys are going to be heading out to any of these locations today, send me a DM (I have something for you). I will be keeping a close eye on social media and news outlets today to see what kind of turnout there is at Delaware Park, Dover Downs, and Harrington Raceway & Casino. The burning question now is, who will be the next state to be up and running on the East coast? I'm hearing New Jersey could be up and running by Friday.
