2-2 last night although it took a serious gag job by the A’s who gave up 5 runs combined in the 7th & 8th inning last night. The Cardinals had their chances but even I can’t predict a major league ball player getting picked off at 3rd base with less than two outs and the go ahead run at second base. The two winners were no sweat, the Yanks won easily and the Rockies/Reds over would have still hit even if it was only a 7 inning high school game (12 runs in 7 inning). There’s no doubt that it’s been a mediocre start to the week after a up and down weekend. It’s not how you start the week, it’s how you finish. It’s hump day and I’m breaking out the fucking JACKHAMMER tonight!
Rockies (Gray) (-140) - The Rockies will take on 3-6 Sal Romano and his 6.00 earned run average. They have a .385 avg & .654 slg% in a one game sample size against him. How hot are the Rockies bats right now? Last 5 games they scored 9, 7, 4, 8, & 4 runs - not bad. Look for them to stay hot tonight and get Gray an early lead that he won’t surrender.
Twins (Odorizzi) (-170) - Here’s the JACKHAMMER boys! The Twins lost last night but they won four straight before that including three against the Indians. The Twins lineup has a .381 avg in 42 at bats against Hector Santiago. Basically if all these guys in the Twins lineup got to face him every game, they would be inducted into the Hall of Fame. Odorizzi will start for the Twins and he has held this White Sox lineup to a .243 avg in 37 at bats.
Astros (McCullers) (-190) - I know, it’s a big price here and I would play the -1.5 if we were having a great week but we’ve been mediocre and I want to take the sure bet in this one, Astros moneyline. The Mariners have recently taken over first place in the AL West and they put a beating on the Stros last night but the Stros will strike back tonight. They will take on Wade Leblanc who they have a .379 avg & .690 slg% in 29 at bats. Leblanc came in relief against the Astros on 4/19 and allowed 4 earned runs in 2 innings. Can you say pound town!? To back that up, McCullers has held this Mariners lineup to a .178 avg in 101 at bats. Yes, I’m bringing TWO JACKHAMMERS out tonight!
I have always believed in fixes and fixed series. After seeing some of the non calls in Game 2 it really had me wondering. Someone who believes in fixes would be all over the Cavs moneyline tonight fully expecting them to get a win at home. 60% of the public money is on the Cavs to cover the +4 tonight. Tonight I say that there’s no fix, the Warriors are just a far superior team who have beat this Cavs team five games in a row now by an average of 11 points. Give me the Warriors to cover -4 tonight and put this series out of reach and send LeBron packing.....literally.
Pick - Warriors (-4)
