6/11 VIP Picks

On my way home from NY...picks will be posted by 5 pm.

MLB:

Red Sox (Wright) (-110) - Wright looked great last time out when he went 7 scoreless innings. The Sox lineup will be up against Dylan Bundy who they have a .294 avg in 143 at bats. The Sox also have 6 guys in their lineup who have taken Bundy deep before. The Orioles lost 13-3 yesterday and it could be a similar result tonight.

Cardinals (Flaherty) (-180) - The Cardinals will host the Padres tonight and they will be up against Jordan Lyles who they already beat once this season. They have a .320 avg in 50 at bats against him. Jack Flaherty will pitch for the Cardinals, he’s 2-2 with a 3.20 ERA but he’s pitched a lot better than those numbers show.

Brewers / Cubs Under (8.5) - The Cubs have gone under 8.5 in 4 of their last 5 games. The Brewers have gone under in 3 of their last 5 games. Jose Quintana will pitch for the Cubs and last time he pitched against this Brewers lineup, he pitched 7 scoreless innings and got the win. The time before that he went 6 scoreless innings and got the win. Both of those games were earlier this season in April. Junior Guerra will pitch for the Brewers and he’s pitched one time against the Cubs this season where he went 6 innings and only allowed 1 earned run. 7 of the 8 games between the Brewers and Cubs have gone under 8.5 this season. The average total runs in those 8 games have been 4.75. I like the under tonight.

Indians (-1.5) (Carrasco) - Carrasco hasn’t faced the White Sox yet this season but he’s held this lineup to a .235 avg in 85 at bats. It’s a smaller sample size for the Indians against Giolito but they have a .333 avg in 30 at bats. The Indians have covered the -1.5 in their last 3 wins.
