3-1 last night and realistically it should have been a 4-0 night. 4 runs in 10 innings in the Cubs / Brewers game before the Cubs scored 5 in the Top of the 11th. Such a joke. I’ll take a 3-1 night any time though so I can’t be that mad about it. Let’s see what we’ve got for tonight.

Red Sox (Rodriguez) (-170) Rodriguez and  Hess will square off tonight in Baltimore in a pitching rematch from May 20. On that day, Rodriguez pitched 5.2 scoreless innings and got the win. The Sox hit three homeruns against Hess in that game including two by J.D. Martinez. They have a .375 avg & .909 slg% in a small sample size against Hess. Look for the Sox to put up some runs against him again tonight and ERod will move to 8-1 on the season.

Cardinals (Mikolas) (-190) - big moneyline here but that’s the price you pay when you get a 7-1 starting pitcher with a 2.27 ERA going against a lineup who he has held to a .111 career batting avg. Mikolas has started 12 games this year and he’s only allowed more than 2 earned runs in three of those starts. The Cards are hot and have won 4 of their last 5.

Astros (McCullers Jr) (-150) - Talk about a team who is hot right now, the Stros have won 7 of their last 10 games. They have scored 5 or more runs in 5 of those 7 games. Their bats should stay hot tonight when they take on A’s starter Daniel Mengden who they have a .316 avg against in 95 at bats. Mengden is 0-2 against the Astros this season including a game on 4/28 when he allowed 4 earned runs in 2.1 innings pitched. McCullers is 7-3 this season and he’s held this A’s lineup to a .263 avg in 57 at bats. McCullers pitcher that same game on 4/28 when Mengden got pounded and McCullers went 7 scoreless innings in that game. Ready for it? J A C K H A M M E R!

Angels (Barria) (+108) - I guess the books consider the Angels to be underdogs tonight. Based on this matchup, I think they should really be -200! The Angels lineup will go up against Mike Leake who they have a .320 avg against in 100 at bats. Barria will pitch for the Angels and he’s flying under the radar this season as a very profitable pitcher to bet on, he’s 5-1 with a 2.48 ERA. I know the Mariners are the hottest team in baseball right now, they are 18-5 in their last 23 games. I don’t give a fuck about that, they didn’t have to deal with a matchup like this in those games. Angels moneyline as “underdogs” tonight.
