A solid profitable days going 2-1 yesterday and we were only the Astros away from party time. It’s Wednesday and there’s a lot of day action today so I’m feeling like party time today. Let’s get to the picks.
Indians (-1.5) (Kluber) - Moneyline isn’t an option in this game unless you are throwing it in a parlay. The -1.5 is the play here and let me tell you why. Kluber took on this same White Sox lineup on Hump Day a few weeks ago on May 30. He went 6 scoreless innings and had 10 strikeouts. The Tribe won that game 9-1. Kluber has always dominated this White Sox lineup and they only have a .234 avg against him in 141 at bats. Reynaldo Lopez started that same game on May 30 that Kluber did and he allowed 7 earned runs in 2.2 innings pitched. GET OUT THE JACKHAMMER!
Nationals (Gonzalez) (-200) - Yes, I know that’s borderline too high of a price to pay. The problem I have with the run line in this one is the fact that the Nats are 2-8 against the run line in their last 10 games. It’s a great matchup as you’ll see in the numbers but I’m not pushing my luck with the run line. If you want better value, parlay Nats ML with Indians ML. I’m hopping all over this moneyline like the Nats will hop all over 2-8 Andrew Cashner. They have a .338 avg in .519 slg% against him in 74 at bats. Gio Gonzalez has held this Orioles lineup to a .245 avg in 143 at bats. Give me the Nats.
Marlins / Giants Over (7.5) - You won’t catch me predicting the team who will win in this one with these two shit pitchers on the mound but with the over/under set at 7.5, you have to take the over in this one. Urena is 2-8 with a 4.19 earned run average. The Giants lineup has a very impressive .342 avg in 37 at bats. 4-7 Derek Holland will get the ball for the Giants and he has a 4.48 earned run average. Only three Marlins have faced Holland but they are 10-19 with 4 doubles and a homerun. There should be enough runs to go around in this one for the over to hit.
Cubs / Dodgers Under (7) - Lester 8-2 2.28 earned run average against Stripling 6-1 1.76. One of these dominant pitchers will have to lose today but I’m not expecting them to give up a whole lot of runs. Lester has held this Dodgers lineup to a .198 avg in 81 at bats. Stripling actually has a career no hitter against this Cubs lineup and they are a combined 0-18 against him. Yesterday’s game between these two teams went under even after a 9th inning miracle. I’m liking the chances of this one again.
Great start to the day with the JACKHAMMER hitting! Red Sox / Twins Under (9) - David Price and Lance Lynn must start for action in this one. Price check has looked good in hist last couple starts since the whole “I’m soft” and Fortnite incident. He’s allowed two earned runs or less in his last two starts. He has good history against this Twins lineup and has held them to a .227 avg in 128 at bats. Lance Lynn on the other hand had a tough start to the season but he has really found his groove and he’s allowed 3 or less earned runs in his last six starts. He’s also held this Red Sox lineup to a .212 avg in 52 at bats. I really don’t see how the under doesn’t hit in this game tonight.
