Not a great weekend but we still had a winning week last week. Let’s try and get another unreal hot streak going today.
Angels (Skaggs) (-170) - This one is looking like a good matchup for the Angels. Skaggs has held this Royals lineup to a .214 avg in a one game sample size. That game took place on April 16, 2017 when Skaggs went 7 scoreless innings against this lineup. The Angels lineup comes into tonight match up against Brad Keller with a .434 avg in 16 at bats. Small sample size, sure but I still like the history here and the trends should continue tonight.
Rays / Nationals Under (7.5) - Six of the nine Rays in tonight’s lineup have faced Gio Gonzalez before and they haven’t had much success against him. They have a combined .200 avg in 45 at bats. Only one guy from the Nationals lineup has seen Blake Snell before and he is 0-2. It will not be a fun matchup for this Nats lineup against Snell tonight who continues to prove that he is the real deal start after start. He has 13 starts this season where he has allowed 2 or less earned runs and just 3 starts where he has allowed more than 2 earned runs. I like this game to go under tonight.
Braves (Foltynewicz) (-150) - Mike Foltynewicz will get the start for the Braves tonight and he has held this Reds lineup to a .182 avg in 44 at bats. The Braves will be up against Tyler Mahle who they actually lost to earlier this season. I think there is good value on the Braves tonight and I trust their top 5 ranked offense to get the bats going tonight against Mahle. The Reds have won seven games in a row but that streak is coming to an end tonight. Chop On.
Mariners (King Felix) (-130) - Maybe the best value of the night on this play. The Mariners will take on Andrew Cashner who they have a .302 avg in 119 at bats. King Felix will be pitching for the M’s and he has allowed 1 earned run in 3 of his last 4 starts (2 of these starts were against Yankees and Red Sox lineups). The Mariners have lost 4 out of their last 5 but they are coming off series against the Yankees and Red Sox. They should get back to winning tonight and back to what they have done all season - beat the teams they should beat. Sorry Orioles fans.
