7/8 VIP Picks

Welp, there goes the chance for the best week ever 2-2-1 yesterday and the 1 was some bullshit. Extra innings burn us in the A’s & Indians game and we settle with a push instead of a win and that was the difference in having a winning day. It’s Sunday and I’m still ready to close out the SECOND best week in KofSports history.

Astros (Keuchel) (-1.5) - The Astros will take on Lucas Giolito who they scored 9 earned runs in 2 innings against back on April 21st this season. Giolito is coming off of a start where he allowed 7 earned runs to the Reds. Dallas Keuchel pitched 6 innings against this White Sox lineup on April 21 and only allowed 1 earned run over 6 innings. Give me the Astros run line in this one.

Red Sox (Porcello) (-1.5) - How hot are the Red Sox right now? 15-4 & 10-5 in the last 2 nights and 5 wins in a row. They will take on Jakob Junis today who they only scored 2 runs against in 6 innings earlier this season but he has struggled since then. He’s allowed 6, 6, 5, & 8 earned runs in starts since then. Look for the Sox to hit him hard today. Porcello has held this Royals lineup to a .231 avg in 173 at bats. Stay hot!

Diamondbacks (Greinke) (-1.5) - I like the run line in this one but I hope the DBacks saved some runs for today after scoring 20 last night! The DBacks come into today’s matchup against Clayton Richard with a .319 avg in 113 at bats. They already beat him once this season on April 21 - 6-2 and covered the run line. Greinke has held this Padres lineup to a .182 avg in 110 at bats. DBacks should be able to cover in this one.

Rockies (Senzatela) (+134) - Good matchup here and good value for the underdog Rockies. The will take on Wade LeBlanc today who they have a .340 avg & .660 slg% against in 50 career at bats. Senzatela will start for the Rockies and he’s coming off a phenomenal start against the Giants where he went 7 scoreless. We bet on him and that game and we will bet on him again today.

There is no Phillies / Pirates line yet but Drew Anderson is set to make his first MLB start for the Phillies today. He has a 4.15 earned run average in Triple A this season. It won’t be his first time pitching in the Majors because he made a couple relief appearances last year but he got rocked. His career earned run average at the big league level is 23.14 in two short relief appearances. 👀
