7/13 VIP Picks

Today is Friday the 13th and you may have thought it was yesterday with the bullshit luck that we had on yesterday’s picks. The Rays and Twins had over an hour rain delay before the game started. So Blake Snell got warmed up and ready to go then there was a rain delay. That definitely fucked with him and he only lasted 3 innings which was his shortest start of the season. He has gone 7 or more innings in each of his last 4 starts. That was one tough luck loss then we had the Mariners James Paxton get hurt in the first inning and the Angels blew the Mariners out. Those are two that I feel like things happened that were out of our control and you can’t predict that shit to come up. No excuses though, a losing night last night but at least the Jackhammer hit and we are now 16-3 on MLB JACKHAMMERS this season. We need a good weekend to close out the week strong. To the picks!

Astros / Red Sox moneylines parlay (+109) -  J J J JACKHAMMER! Let’s go for another jackhammer win since we are 16-3 on these plays this season. The Astros will take on the struggling Tigers who are just 3-7 in their last 10 games. The Astros are a complete mirror image of the Tigers in their last 10 and they are 7-3. Keuchel will start for the Stros and he has pitched good against bad teams this season. 7 innings 1 earned to the White Sox, 7 innings 2 earned to the Rangers, 6 innings 0 earned to the Royals (twice), and a few others. My point is that he should be good tonight against this Tigers team that is not very good this season. Then we have the Red Sox who have now won 10 games in a row. Rick Porcello will start for them and he has held this Jays lineup to a .218 avg in 216 at bats. The Sox lineup has never faced Borucki who will start for the Jays but it hasn’t mattered who they have been up against lately, they are on fire. I’ll take plus money odds on two heavy favorites paired up for a Friday night JACKHAMMER parlay.

Yes, that’s a T-Shirt. DM me if you’re trying to get one!

Phillies (Arrieta) (-128) - Arrieta is not the dominant pitcher that he once was and that sucks for us but he is still reliable. He should get run support tonight from his lineup when they take on Wei-Yin Chen. The Phils come in with a .329 avg in 70 at bats against him. Arrieta has pitched against the Marlins twice this season and he had a bad night in one of those games when he gave up 6 earned runs. That’s a little red flag for me but he has still held this Marlins lineup to a .240 avg in 50 career at bats and he only allowed 2 earned runs in his other start against the Marlins this season. I like the Phillies tonight.

Padres (Richard) (+116) - It’s not every day that you see me hopping on the Padres but I really like tonight’s matchup for them. They will take on Tyler Chatwood who they have a .301 avg & .614 slg% in 83 at bats. They have 6 career homeruns against him and 3 of them belong to Wil Myers. Chatwood is coming off of two starts in a row where he has allowed 7 earned runs. Clayton Richard has been a guy that we like to bet against and have had success doing it but tonight we will rely on him giving us a good start. He has held this Cubs lineup to a .189 avg in 37 at bats.

Giants (Bumgarner) (-142) - The A’s are actually one of the hottest teams in baseball right now and they have won 20 of their last 25 games. They just won 3 out of 4 against the defending champion Astros. The Giants are still favored in this game and that’s because of the matchup that this A’s lineup will be up against in Mad Bum. Bumgarner has held this lineup to a .220 avg in 59 at bats. The Giants will take on Edwin Jackson who they are hitting just under .300 against in 138 at bats. Andrew McCutchen has 3 career homeruns against Jackson. Look for the Giants to take a win against the A’s tonight in the battle of the Bay Area.
