4-1 last night but the one loser was a jackhammer. Gary Sanchez cost us 2 runs in that game for being a lazy fuck. Even Yankees fans are shitting on him for it. Regardless, great start to the week and let’s keep it rolling today!
MLB:
Braves / Marlins Over (8) - Let’s be sure that Chen and Teheran start this game and we can expect the bats to score some runs for us. The Braves lineup comes in with a .319 avg in 69 at bats against Chen. Chen comes into today’s day game with a 5.75 earned run average so it hasn’t been out of the ordinary for him to get rocked this season. Some Marlins final scores (losses) when he’s pitched this season - 18-4, 11-3, 8-3, 10-9, 13-4 - pretty bad right? Not if you bet over 8 in all of those games. So one might think to hop on the Braves moneyline pretty hard but I would say not so fast. Julio Teheran will start today for the Braves and believe it or not, he allowed 6 earned runs in 5 innings pitched against the Marlins earlier this season on May 20th. The Marlins come into today’s game with a .272 avg in 125 at bats against Teheran. Over 8 seems like a bargain deal in this one.
Phillies (Nola) (+103) - good value for a home dog here. Aaron Nola has only allowed 3 hits in 42 at bats against this Dodgers lineup, that’s an .071 batting average. The Phillies have a .278 avg in 36 at bats against Maeda. I’m expecting the Phils to get Nola the run support he needs and he should improve to 13-3 on the season.
Indians (Bieber) (-190) - Pricey but the odds favor the moneyline play here rather than the run line. Bieber comes in 5-1 with a 3.53 earned run average. However, the Indians have gone 4-3 against the -1.5 run line in his starts but they have won 6 of those 7 straight up. Get the moneyline early because it will continue to go up over 200 as we get closer to first pitch. The Indians will take on Joe Musgrove who they have a .346 avg & .615 slg% against in 26 at bats.
Astros (Cole) (-150) - Gerrit Cole comes in 10-2 with a 2.52 earned run average. Cole has held this Rockies lineup to a .220 avg in 59 at bats. The Astros will take on Tyler Anderson who they have never faced. However, I’m counting on the fact that the power hitters in this Astros lineup will get to take advantage of the thin air in Colorado tonight. I feel like this moneyline should be bigger but I’ll take it at -150 all day long.
