1-2 last night and we are absolutely due for a HUGE day. I’m feeling good about these matchups today. We want to close out the month the right way and make it our 4th straight profitable month of the MLB season, that’s right - every month.
Giants (Rodriguez) (-112) - Let’s start or day off with an early game at 4:10 EST. - 10 minutes after the trade deadline but I don’t expect either of these teams to make any huge deals today. The Giants lineup will get the pleasure of taking on Clayton Richard who they have a .353 avg in 153 at bats against. Richard has three starts against the Giants this season and he allowed 7 runs in 4 innings against them on May 2. 5-1 Derreck Rodriguez aka Pudge Jr. will pitch for the Giants and he held this Padres lineup to 1 earned run over 7 innings earlier this season. This should be a good one to start our huge day with.
Yankees (Tanaka) (-1.5) - The Yankees will be taking on the Orioles today and I think Adam Jones will be traded before the deadline so the O’s will be without another bat. The Yanks will take on Yefry (Jeffrey) Ramirez who they already beat earlier this season 10-2. No Judge, no Sanchez, no problem today - the players that will make up the lineup today have a .533 avg & .867 slg% in a small sample size against Ramirez. Tanaka will pitch for the Yanks and he has held the Orioles to a .250 avg in 156 at bats.
Cubs (Lester) (-105) - Lester has dominated this Pirates lineup and he has held them to a .244 avg in a huge sample size of 238 at bats. Lester bounced back nicely in his last start allowing 1 run over 6 innings - it was good to see him bounce back from the start where he allowed 8 earned runs in 3 innings. The Cubs get to take on James Taillon and they have a .370 avg & .630 slg% against him in 73 at bats. Look for the Cubbies to win big tonight.
