2-1 last night and I don’t know if you guys had the chance to see how we got our 1 loss. Addison Russell hit an RBI Triple in the top of the 9th so the Cubs had the tying run on third with no outs and the top of the order up. Then the umpires reviewed and overturned the call at third to call him out. Looked like he was in there to me. Anyways, 2-1 is a solid night and if you put $100 on each pick you would still profit $50. July comes to a close and although we only finished at 57% in July, we still profited $147. Not great at all but that keeps the streak alive of each month being a profitable month in the MLB season. It’s August and that means HEAT wave. Let’s get it started today! Wake up wake up, it's the first of the mooooonth!
Astros (Keuchel) (-144) - This guy let us down last time out and cost us a jackhammer. Do you think that’s scaring me today? Nope. I’m confident in this matchup today. The Astros just snapped their five game losing streak yesterday and they will look to start a winning streak today. They will take on Wade Leblanc who they have a .444 avg against in 36 at bats. The Stros scored 4 earned runs in 2 innings against LeBlanc on April 19 and 3 earned runs in 4 innings on June 6. Keuchel got knocked around in one game against the Mariners earlier this season but he also had a fantastic start against them. 8-9 Keuchel isn’t the reason I’m taking the Stros today, it’s the .444 avg they have against LeBlanc.
2 team parlay
Yankees ML / Indians ML (+113) - Both of these teams will be taking on depleted lineups who have traded away some key pieces over the last week or two. Both moneylines are tough to play individually today but if you play the parlay you get +113 odds for two great matchups. Yanks will be up against 2-14 Alex Cobb with his 6.08 earned run average. The Yanks have won the last three games that Sonny has started. The Indians have won the last 5 games that Carrasco has started and not only won but covered the run line. Big wins. The Indians bats will be up against Mejia today who they have a .273 avg in 33 at bats against. Why take run lines when you can get plus money on the moneylines together?
Braves (Sanchez) (-171) - The Braves will take on Pablo Lopez who has allowed 4 earned runs or more in 3 out of his last 4 starts. The Braves have won 3 games in a row after a small skid they had and they will look to make it 4 in a row tonight. The Braves bats should get to Lopez early and often in this one. Anibal Sanchez will pitch for the Braves and he hasn’t faced this Marlins lineup this season but he comes in with a 3.00 earned run average. I don’t see any scenario where the Braves don’t score more than 3 runs tonight.
Dodgers (Hill) (-159) - Rich Hill will start for the Dodgers and he just pitched a gem against this Brewers lineup two weeks ago when he only allowed 1 run over 6 innings in a 6-4 win. The Dodgers come into tonight’s game with 7 career homeruns against Chase Anderson. Look for the bats to be out in LA tonight and I’ve got the Dodgers winning this one.
