8/25 VIP Picks

The Braves put a damper on the night last night and cost us the 🔨. We go 2-2 but it’s a losing night with the 🔨 losing. Still riding a huge week and we need a big Saturday/Sunday to make this the BEST week in KofSports history.

I will be at the Fanduel Sportsbook at the Meadowlands today if any of you are in that area and want to meet up I’m down just DM me don’t tweet it out publicly that I’m going to be there. Thanks!

Red Sox (Porcello) (-150) - The Sox are 3-1 against the Rays when Rick Porcello starts this season and have outscored them 20-15 in those games. Porcello has held this Rays lineup to a .254 avg in 138 at bats and the big thing that stands out to me is that he has only allowed 1 homerun in those 138 at bats. I trust this #1 ranked Red Sox offense (5.43 runs per game) to out slug the Rays tonight.

Indians (Kluber) (-1.5) - Corey Kluber dominates the Royals over and over again. He has held them to a .196 avg in a huge sample size of 204 at bats. He’s only allowed 3 earned runs in 13 innings against them this season. Heath Fillmyer will pitch for the Royals and they have only won 1 of the 11 games that he has pitched in this season. He’s coming off of an outing where he allowed 6 earned runs in 3 innings against the Chicago White Sox.

Dodgers (Kershaw) (-1.5) - Clayton Kershaw will be pitching against the Padres today who he has held to a .188 avg in 96 career at bats. The Dodgers get to go up against Brett Kennedy who they have never seen before but he comes in with a 8.36 earned run average. I’m expecting this one to be a blowout.

JACKHAMMER - Indians / Dodgers moneylines (-150) - Play both moneylines in a parlay for a JACKHAMMER today. There is some juice with this one but these two games seem like the closest thing you can get to a sure thing. I will be playing this one heavily.

Athletics (Fiers) (-160) - Mike Fiers will start for the A’s and he has held this Twins lineup to a weak .216 avg in 88 at bats. Since joining the A’s, he has pitched 18.1 innings and has only allowed 3 earned runs. He’s coming off of a start where he only allowed 1 hit over 7 innings against the Rangers. He got plenty of run support in that one and he should get plenty of run support tonight when this A’s lineup takes on Stephen Gonsalves and his 27.00 earned run average. That’s right, 27.00 earned run average - that is not a typo. He has three appearances for 1.1 innings each and he has allowed 5, 4, and 4 earned runs in those appearances. I expect the A’s to pour the gas on this guy in the first inning and he is going to get torched!

Astros (Verlander) (-184) - This guy has had a few tough starts this season that have raised some eyebrows. However, he has been great against the Angels this year and has only allowed 2 earned runs in 22 innings. He’s been great against the guys in this lineup and has held them to a .190 avg in 100 career at bats. The Astros will be up against Jaime Barria who they have only faced once and he was actually pretty good against them but they still won that game. I’ll count on the larger sample size of Verlander against this team and trust the Astros bats to get us some runs tonight.

NCAAF:

Teaser:

Colorado State (8) / Over (50.5) - Not the most thrilling College Football game to start the season but we are kicking off the NCAAF season today since it’s the regular season and this is the best option on the menu. These two teams played last season and Colorado State went on the road to Hawaii, beat their ass 51-21, and then fucked their girls. Hawaii was just 3-9 last year and they don’t project to be much better this season. Cole McDonald will start at quarterback for Hawaii and he has only thrown 9 career passes. Good luck making your first start on the road Cole! Colorado State lost their quarterback Nick Stevens (the team’s all time leading touchdown scorer) but they replace him with K.J. Carta-Samuels who has played in 25 games over the last three seasons. I expect Colorado State give Hawaii a similar ass whooping tonight that they gave them last year.
