3-0 to close the week out strong and we finish the week 21-7 plus 9 units so if you bet $100 on each pick you profited just over $900 on the week. Let’s have another good week and we have the first slate of REAL college football games this weekend! Small slate of MLB games tonight but let’s get this week started off right.
Astros (Cole) (-180) - The Astros got some key guys back and they have now won five games in a row. They have a 1.5 game lead on the A’s but they have a chance to create some separation with them this week. Tonight the Stros take on Brett Anderson who they have a .441 avg & .824 slg% against in 34 career at bats. Gerrit Cole takes the mound for the Stros and he has held this A’s lineup to a .240 avg in 129 at bats. Juicy moneyline here but I’m more confident in that than the run line. Don’t push your luck by taking the run line and settle for the sure money in the moneyline with this one.
Cubs (Lester) (-150) - The Cubs have also won five games in a row and they own the best record in the National League. They take on Noah Syndergaard tonight who you wouldn’t typically be anxious to bet against but this Cubs lineup has done damage against him in the past. They come in with a .306 avg in 49 at bats. Jon lester will pitch for the Cubbies and he has held this Mets lineup to a .236 avg in 191 at bats. The Mets are coming off of a 15-0 loss to the Nationals yesterday.
Diamondbacks (Corbin) (-173) - The DBacks come in hitting just under .300 against Giants starter Chris Stratton in 78 at bats and they just scored 6 earned runs in 3 innings against him back on August 3rd. Stratton has been getting pounded lately and his earned run average is over 11 in his last five starts. Patrick Corbin gets the ball for the DBacks and he has held this Giants lineup to a .240 avg in 217 at bats.
I consider all three of these high percentage plays but I would play them all individually, not in a parlay.
