9/14 VIP Picks - HUGE FRIDAY!!!

Do you want the good new or the bad news first? Good news is that the Jackhammers split with the Dodgers winning. We were all over the right side with the Bengals with over 65% of the public being on the Ravens. However, the defense in the second half was more of what I was expecting for the whole game and I honestly would have bet my life that the Bengals wouldn’t score 28 fucking points in the first half! Terrible. Dodgers were up big all game and it got tight at the end but they were able to close it out and even cover the run line for you guys that took that. The A’s, oh the A’s who really spoiled the night from a 3-1 night to a 1-3 night left the bases loaded in the 8th inning. They were down 1 run with bases loaded 1 out and couldn’t get any runs across. Then the Orioles got another run in the bottom of the 8th to put them to bed. I’m well aware that we need a huge fucking day to lead off the weekend and I want you all to know I’m ready to deliver!

Best approach today - play each bet individually

Cubs (Hamels) (-230) - You don’t catch me giving out moneylines below -200 but after a losing night last night and missing a run line by 1 run two nights ago, I’ll take this moneyline over the run line and I will hit it pretty hard. Another reason I’m taking the moneyline instead of the run line in this one is because the Cubs have only covered the run line in 1 of their last 5 games. Would you rather have “better payout odds” and lose because they only win by 1 run or would you rather have “better odds” of winning your bet for less of a payout? I’ll take the better odds for a payout in this one to get our huge Friday started. The Cubs have lost Cole Hamels last two starts after he won his first six with them after being traded. Those last two losses weren’t his fault as he had good outings in both of them. He will take on a Reds lineup tonight who he has held to a .214 avg in 84 at bats. The Cubs lineup will be up against Matt Harvey who they are hitting just under .300 against in a large sample size of 98 at bats.

Brewers (Gonzalez) (-138) - Better moneyline in this one a good matchup. The Brewers will be up against the Pirates and Chris Archer tonight who they are hitting .305 in 118 career at bats against. Gio Gonzalez takes the mound for the Brew Crew and he doesn’t have great numbers against this Pirates lineup but we can count on him getting run support tonight. The Brewers are hot and have won 4 of their last 5 and they are just 1.5 games back in the NL Central. They are motivated to win that division and every game is big for them. Brew us up a win tonight boys - go Brewers!

Astros (Keuchel) (-170) - These teams have been complete opposites in their last 5 games. The DBacks have lost 4 of their last 5 while the Stros have won 4 of their last 5. The Astros will face Robbie Ray who has a tendency to walk guys and I always say that walks will kill you, especially against a potent lineup like the Astros. The Astros have really good numbers in previous matchups against Ray and come in with a .386 avg & .682 slg% in 44 career at bats. Dallas Keuchel takes the ball for the Astros and he has held this DBacks lineup to a .190 avg in 79 at bats. I always tell you guys that you should be playing every single play in order to profit in the long run but if you’re looking for my most confident play of the day, this is it. It would be a jackhammer if we didn’t go 1-1 on hammers last night. Introducing the mini jackhammer? I’m comfortable going 1.5 units on this one instead of the full 2 units I recommend on JACKHAMMERS. Yeah, a mini jackhammer. Let’s get it.

Rockies (Anderson) (-135) - The Rockies are another hot team right now and are coming off of a series where they won 3 out of 4 against the DBacks. That’s an impressive series. Rockies will take on Chris Stratton who should order a restraining order against this lineup for the beatings that they have given him in his last two starts against them. Literally. Check out these last two games for Stratton against this Rockies lineup - 5.2 innings, 8 earned runs, 8-1 loss. 4 innings, 5 earned runs, 9-8 loss. They have always hit Stratton hard, not just in the last two games and they come into tonight’s matchup with a .450 avg & .713 slg% in 80 at bats. Tyler Anderson pitches for the Rockies and he had held this Giants lineup to 3 earned runs in his last 13.1 innings pitched against them. He has held them to a lifetime .217 avg in a large sample size of 83 at bats.

This one is off the books, I’m not putting this one out as a “VIP Pick” because it’s tough to go ahead and throw a four team parlay out there after a losing night like last night. However. I am really confident in all of these picks today and I think there is a really good chance that all of them win. Play it at your own risk but a 4 team parlay on all of the moneylines pays +546.

Memphis / Georgia State Over (61) - The Memphis offense had a set back last week when they only scored 21 points against Navy after putting up 66 in their season opener. They will take on a Georgia State defense tonight that has been gashed on the ground and through the air this season. They are coming off of a 41-7 loss against NC State where they allowed QB Ryan Finley to throw for 370 yards. Memphis QB Brady White will be hungry for a bounce back game tonight after a modest game at best last week against Navy. Let’s not forget that White lit it up in week one and threw for 358 yards and 5 touchdowns. Could Memphis cover the 61 themselves tonight? Maybe, that would be great! However, If they can score 40-45 points, I’m confident that we can count on Georgia State to put up 20+. One word of caution is that 69% of the public bets are on the over. I know a lot of you guys don’t believe in that kind of stuff but it’s worth paying attention to. Either way, I’m taking the over tonight.

I am working on a project where I am going to start tracking where the public money is bet and compare that to the results of the games. I think it’s information that could be very powerful for us in the future but it will take a lot of time to put together. I’m putting in that work for you guys!

Let’s have a HUGE Friday! I’m feeling it!!!! Can you feel it!!!!!!!!!!! Let me hear it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
