What. A. Day. Big day for us and if it wasn’t for the Patriots letting us down it would have been an unreal 11-1 day. It was a great weekend overall for us and let’s keep the good times rolling into tonight’s Monday Night Football game and MLB games.

2 pick teaser: Seahawks (+10.5) / Over (37) - You guys definitely thought that we would be on the Bears and the under tonight after how they looked last week against the Packers right? Not so fast though. Let’s start by looking at the factors for the teased over to hit at 37. The biggest thing standing out to me in this one is the health of the Seattle linebackers both Bobby Wagner and K.J. Wright are both officially listed as OUT for tonight’s game. That is going to make things easy on the Bears offense to pound the rock with Jordan Howard (must play in DFS tonight) and that will open up the passing game for Trubisky. As good as the Bears defense was last week, they still allowed an injured (one legged) Aaron Rodgers to throw for 3 touchdowns (in one quarter. IN ONE QUARTER) and just under 300 passing yards for the game. I like Russell Wilson to create plays tonight by using his mobility to avoid the potent pass rush of this Bears defense. Wilson threw for 3 touchdowns in week one against a good Broncos defense and I think he will have a similar approach tonight. Wilson also made multiple mistakes in the game last week that led to turnovers and sacks - I’d expect him to be smarter tonight. The Bears gave up 24 points in the second half alone last week so I’m confident that Russell Wilson can rack up a number in the mid twenties for us tonight - that should be enough to come within +10.5 and send the total score in this one north of 37. Here’s a stat that doesn’t play much of a factor for me because every matchup is different BUT the Seahawks are 7-1 on Monday Night Football and 22-4-1 in prime time games under Pete Carroll. Every matchup is different and the Seahawks aren’t the same team that they have been in the past but this shows that good ol Pete has his boys prepared for the big stage games.

Player prop:

Jordan Howard rushing yards (75.5) - OVER - As I touched on in the teaser pick above, the Seahawks are without two key linebackers in this game and that should allow Howard to put together a big game on the ground tonight. Howard had 82 rushing yards on 15 carries last week against the Packers.

Astros (Valdez) (-165) - The Astros have gone on a recent tear winning 12 of their last 14 games and they have created a little bit of breathing room in the AL West from the A’s who have been making a push. The Stros should stay hot tonight when they take on Wade LeBlanc who they have a .371 avg & .701 slg% in 97 career at bats against. Framber Valdez will start for the Astros and he has held this Mariners lineup to a .133 avg in a small sample size. This moneyline should be closer to -200 and for good reason, I don’t see the Astros losing this game.
