Sometimes sports don’t make sense. The Indians lineup went into last night’s matchup hitting over .300 in a large sample size against Dylan Covey and they had scored 18 earned runs in 19 innings against him this season. They only got 2 hits in 6 innings against him last night. How? Like I said, sometimes sports don’t make sense. Then you have things like this happen where everything needs to align perfectly and it does….

There is nothing more exciting than a walk off grand slam to cover a run line when the team you bet on is trailing 1-0 going into the 9th. Period. This was a historic moment in KofSports history and I know that everyone involved last night will never forget it.

Do I feel lucky? Absolutely after how that game played out last night. However, even if it did lose - going into that game, I was SO confident in that matchup due to the stats and trends that I would hammer it every single day if we had that same matchup. I know the two underdogs we took last night lost but I get the sense that those two really didn’t matter last night after all of the betting tickets you guys were sending me last night.

And now it’s Thursday.

A’s (Jackson) (-130) - The A’s lineup will be going up against Matt Shoemaker today and they have great numbers against him in the past. They come into today’s matchup with a .320 avg & .587 slg% in 75 at bats against him. Edwin Jackson will take the mound for the A’s and he has held this Angels lineup to a .259 avg in 58 career at bats. I like the A’s for some day action today and it’s not a bad price on the moneyline.

Browns (-3) - The Browns are favored at home for the first time since 2015 and I couldn’t agree more with where the line is at in this one. The Browns could very easily be 2-0 against two teams that were playoff contenders last season. Zane Gonzalez will most likely never get another kicking job in the NFL (or any other football league) after his performance last week. He literally looked like a guy trying to kick with lag in an online Madden game. The Browns cut his ass on Monday and they are ready to move on with a new kicker tonight. The Browns also traded Josh Gordon to the Patriots this week and have moved on from another cancer in the locker room. Tonight’s game seems like a quick and early reset opportunity for the Browns who are 0-1-1 but like I said, could very easily be 2-0. The defense for the Browns has been impressive to me and held Drew Brees to a 75 QB rating and Big Ben to a 22.8 QB rating - they also forced 3 interceptions against him. I know the hype train is running full steam for Sam Darnold but I consider Brees and Roethlisberger to be much better QBs and if this Browns defense was able to hold them in check, they should be able to shut down Darnold and force a few turnovers tonight (he has thrown 3 picks in his first 2 games). The Jets defense has been good in their first two games as well and rank 6th in the league for points allowed per game. I do think the Browns will be able to get the running game going tonight and it will open up an opportunity for a big play or two down the field that will be the difference in the game tonight. It shouldn’t be a blowout and it shouldn’t be high scoring but I have the Browns winning and covering at home tonight.

Player Prop - Tyrod Taylor rushing yards O/U (30.5) - OVER - I think Tyrod will make some plays tonight and cover the over for this one. He had 26 rushing yards last week against the Saints but he blew the 30.5 out of the water in Week 1 when he rushed for 77 yards against the Steelers. Go Tyrod go!
