9/25 VIP Picks

That’s a bounce back night! 2-1 and would have been better if it was 3-0 but if you put $100 on each pick last night you profited $53. If you put $1,000 on each pick last night you profited $534. I know you guys probably hit the football game the hardest and that makes me happy because that one was a comfortable win and basically over by half time. No football tonight but that’s not a bad thing - we are 9-3 in baseball picks since last Tuesday and wait for it………...we have won 8 MLB JACKHAMMERS in a row. Let’s see what we have on the table tonight.

Cubs (Montgomery) (-140) - The Cubs bats didn’t show up for us last night and the only run they scored came from a Cole Hamels homerun. I’m telling you guys they need to win games to close out the NL Central. They are riding a 1.5 game lead over the Brewers with 6 games left. They will be up against Chris Archer of the Pirates tonight who they come in with a .302 avg in 43 career at bats against. Mike Montgomery will start for the Cubs and he has held this Pirates lineup in check in the past. I just feel like tonight’s a big game for the Cubs.

A’s (Anderson) (-110) - The A’s have already locked up a spot in the AL Wild Card game but don’t expect them to shut it down and rest for the next week. Baseball isn’t a sport where you can just flip the switch on and off, you need to keep playing. They have a great matchup tonight against the Mariners who have been eliminated from the postseason run and Mike Leake. A’s come in hitting .330 in a big sample size of 185 at bats against Leake. There’s no football tonight but I’ll take them to score a touchdown (they scored one last night). Brett Anderson will pitch for the A’s and he has held this Mariners lineup to a .250 avg in 124 at bats. Go A’s.

Rangers / Angels OVER (9) - JACKHAMMER -

Let’s start off by taking a look at the last 5 games for each of these teams - both of them have had the final score push or go over 9 runs in 4 of their last 5 games. Both lineups should be drooling thinking of their matchups tonight. The Angels will take on Yovani Gallardo and his 6.59 earned run average. The Angels come in with a .333 avg in 84 career at bats against him and they scored 6 earned runs in 3 innings when they faced him less than two weeks ago. Look for them to hit him hard again tonight. Matt Shoemaker will pitch for the Angels and he is coming off of a rough outing against the A’s where he allowed 5 earned runs in 2.2 innings in route to a 21-3 loss. I am expecting a football score in this game.
