10/17 VIP Picks

KOOOOFSPORTS! 3-0 and MLB Postseason Picks move to 16-4! The biggest time of the year for MLB and we deliver night after night. I’m on my way to Cancun today because I’m fleeing the country for murdering your bookies! My responses to you guys may be delayed but I’ll get back to you ASAP. Let’s have ourselves another big day!

MLB:

Dodgers / Brewers Under (7) - Kershaw and Miley must start for action in this one. Before you tell me that Kershaw got rocked in Game 1, let me give the facts. Kershaw wasn’t bad in Game  1 but the Dodgers made 4 errors that led to those runs so yes, Kershaw looks bad in the box score but anyone who watched the game knows those runs weren’t all his fault.  He’s held this Brewers lineup to a .252 avg in 143 career at bats. Wade Miley was fantastic in Game 2 and I have mind blowing stat for you - Wade Miley has 17 starts this season and he hasn’t allowed more than 3 earned runs in any of them. Kershaw has allowed 3 earned runs or less in 23 of his 26 starts this year. Loving both lefties and I’m loving the under in this one.

Red Sox (Porcello) (+130) - Haven’t we played this game before? We have hit the Sox at +160, +110, +115, & +125. When I saw the numbers for this matchup I didn’t think it would be possible for the Sox to be listed as underdogs but here we are. It’s time to party! Here’s another bluff by Vegas hoping the general bettors will think there’s no way the Astros lose at home (again). General bettors don’t know that this Red Sox starting lineup comes in with a .354 avg in 82 career at bats against Charlie Morton. They would be Hall of Famers if they played every game of their careers against him. They scored 6 earned in 5.1 innings against him earlier this year on June 3rd. This Sox lineup has scored 15 runs in their last two games. This is the offense that we saw all year that ranked #1 in runs per game. With a .354 career avg off of Morton, they should be confident going into this one. One last fact about Morton is that he hasn’t pitched since September and his hasn’t had a start more than 3 innings since September 15 (over a month) so he may not be sharp to start and is bound to make a few mistakes. Rick Porcello pitched that same game on June 3rd when the Sox smacked Morton and Porcello only allowed 2 earned runs over 6.1 innings. Why are the Sox “underdogs?” KofSports Nation will be on the Sox at +130 and that’s V A L U E.

NHL:

Bruins (-110) - I’ll hop on board this train and ride it! Basically even money for a team who has covered the puck line in 4 straight games!? SURE! Calgary is 3-2 and they have impressive wins against the Predators and Avalanche but this Bruins team has been playing at another level. The competition hasn’t been great but they have absolutely dominated. I’ll take them at -110 - he shoots he scores!

Capitals (-1.5) - The Caps have lost 3 of their last 4 since winning their opener 7-0 against the Bruins. However, those 3 losses came against great teams in the Leafs, Devils, & Penguins. They will host the Rangers tonight who have lost 4 of their last 5. The Caps get back on track tonight and they win this game.

I know you guys are dying to bet on the NBA but the matchups tonight are tough. I’ll take tonight off from the NBA and hold on to the NBA undefeated title for another day and we can jump in tomorrow.
