10/21 VIP Picks

9-2 yesterday and 9-3 if you played the crazy long shot parlay! A pretty good fucking day! Happy NFL Sunday and let’s get right to the picks.

NFL:

Patriots (-2) - JACKHAMMER - Remember when the Patriots lost two in a row and it seemed like the Patriots were a different team than expected? They have run off three straight convincing wins and I think we can all agree that they are looking like the team to beat in the AFC. A lot of people were viewing the Bears as a dominant team especially after their big win against the Bucs but losing to the Miami Dolphins coming off of a bye week last week? Really? Brock Osweiler threw for 380 passing yards against this Bears defense last week. Insert Tom Brady and the Patriots offense here. I expect Brady to put on a clinic today and I don’t think the Bears offense will be able to keep up with the Pats today.

Saints (+3) - The Saints will go on the road to play the Ravens today and I don’t think that will be a problem for them. The Saints are 2-0 on the road this year and this offense is averaging 36 points per game which is the league best. I still can’t get the Ravens game against the Browns out of my head where they couldn’t score a touchdown. Don’t get me wrong, the Saints defense isn’t great but I still don’t see Joe Flacco and the Ravens offense keeping up with Drew Brees and the Saints.

Vikings (-3.5) - The Vikings have come a long way since that loss to the Buffalo Bills at home and they are now looking more like the team we expected them to. They have won two straight including a win over the defending Super Bowl Champion Eagles. They will go on the road today to play the New York Jets who are 3-3. The thing that stands out about the Jets is that they have struggled against teams that play good defense and this Vikings defense keeps getting better each week. I like the Vikings to go into New York and win this one.

Teasers Play in groups of 2 - listed in order of confidence:

Saints (+9)

Chargers (-0.5)

Rams (-3.5)

Chiefs (-0.5)
