10/26 VIP Picks
2-2 last night for a mediocre night at best. That means we are due for a BIG weekend and let me tell you that it’s going to be a HUGE weekend. It starts tonight with Game 3 of the World Series and we will roll it through the weekend. It’s Friday - let’s get to the picks!
MLB:
Red Sox / Dodgers OVER (7.5)
- J A C K H A M M E R -

We have Rick Porcello going for the Red Sox and Walker Buehler going for the Dodgers tonight. Porcello comes into tonight with a 4.41 earned run average in the postseason and he is coming off of a game where he allowed 4 earned runs in 4 innings against the Astros in an 8-6 win. Walker Buehler is coming off of an impressive outing in Game 7 of the NLCS but he allowed 9 earned runs combined in his first two playoff starts - his postseason earned run average is 5.56. With Porcello being a righty, the Dodgers will have some big lefty bats in the lineup that didn’t start in games 1 and 2 because of the lefty lefty matchups against Sale and Price. Those big lefty bats include Max Muncy who hit 35 homeruns this season, Cody Bellinger who hit 25 homeruns this season, and Joc Pederson who hit 25 homeruns this season. Yes, it’s the National League and the pitchers hit so that may concern some of you about the over but don’t let it. Rick Porcello played 3 games in National League parks this year and he went 3-7 (.429) with 2 doubles including a bases clearing double against Max Scherzer on July 2. The guy is an athlete and he can swing the stick. I think this game turns into a slugfest tonight and 7.5 is a sexxxxxxxxy number for the over. The Red Sox have gone over in 8 of their 11 games this postseason. Another thing that will benefit us is the temperature will be in the high 70s all game compared to the 40s that they played Games 1 and 2 in Boston so the hitters will be more comfortable and the ball will travel easier. O V E R!
Red Sox (+140) - +160, +110, +115, +125, and +130 - those are all plus money odds that we have hit the Red Sox at this postseason. Add +140 to the motherfucking list! Buehler has lost 2 of his 3 playoff starts and has allowed 4 & 5 earned runs to Braves and Brewers lineups that aren’t as good as this Red Sox lineup. The Red Sox are scorching hot right now and it’s the right time - they are 9-2 in the playoffs even though they have been listed on the books as “underdogs” six times. Like I’ve been saying, top to bottom of the lineup has been producing and guys come off the bench and #DoDamage. As you saw above in the over analysis, Porcello is hitting .429 this season and he will be looking to swing it tonight when he gets a chance to bat. I think this will be a slugfest but I think the Sox will outslug the Dodgers. The Sox are averaging 6.18 runs per game in the playoffs and the Dodgers are averaging 3.76 runs per game in the playoffs. Get the Sox at plus money one last time tonight because they will be favored tomorrow night when the Dodgers are down 0-3 and throw Kershaw out there to pitch just because and the Sox pound him again. L F G.

NHL:
Jets (-1.5) - Puck line is the play in this one when the 6-3-1 Jets take on the 1-6-2 Red Wings. All 6 of the Red Wing’s losses in regulation have been by 2 or more goals - so they haven’t covered the puck line in their 6 losses in regulation. The Jets are looking to be one of the top teams in the West this season and I think they will put a beating on the Red Wings tonight.
NBA:
I’m not really confident in any NBA spreads or over unders tonight but here’s a 4 team moneyline parlay that should be free money and decent odds:
Warriors ML / Pelicans ML / Raptors ML / Hornets ML (-150)
