11/3 VIP Picks

Virginia blows te teaser and the parlay and we miss the Raptors by 2 hoops. Bad day yesterday but atleast today is College GAMEDAY! We are due for a HUGE day and I’m really liking these games today.

NCAAF:

Memphis (-10.5) - Memphis is coming off of two losses in a row and their last one was tough two weeks ago against Missouri but Missouri is a damn good team. Memphis is in a good spot today at -10.5 thanks to those two losses as they go on the road to take on a 2-5 East Carolina team. East Carolina is coming off of a 37-10 loss to UCF and they have lost their last three games by an average of 30.6 points per game. Another thing to note is that East Carolina lost by 27 to UCF and Memphis only lost by 1 point to UCF. The Memphis offense is averaging 42 points per game this season compared to the 21 of ECU. Memphis beat ECU 70-13 last year. I think we start our day out right with a blowout in this one.

Oklahoma (-13.5) - Oklahoma is one of my favorite teams that nobody is talking about this year. The offense is so fun to watch every week. They come in 7-1 and have that 1 loss to Texas on the resume which was a 48-45 game. Texas Tech is 5-3 and they are coming off of a loss to Iowa State who Oklahoma already beat earlier this season. Oklahoma will be the best team that TT has faced all year and it will show tonight. Sure Texas Tech can put up points and this Oklahoma defense is above average at best but they have got the job done this year and Oklahoma has beat their opponents by an average of 24 points per game in their 7 wins. I like Oklahoma to go on the road tonight and cover the -13 for us!

West Virginia / Texas Over (58.5) - This over is set at 58.5 and by the average totals scores of each team’s games this season that seems spot on. The average totals in WVU games this season are 59.4 and the average totals in Texas games are 56. However, both of these teams have games where they blew their opponents out. There is no questions that both of these offenses will be looking for a shoot out this afternoon. Today’s game falls into the same kind of matchup for Texas that they had against Oklahoma (93 total points scored) and Oklahoma State (73 total points scored). For West Virginia, it is a similar matchup to Texas Tech (76 total points scored) and Baylor (72 total points scored). This Texas defense was exposed on National TV last Saturday night when they allowed Oklahoma State’s QB Taylor Cornelius to throw for 321 yards and 3 touchdowns. They will be up against Heisman Hopeful Will Grier who is averaging 362 passing yards in wins this season. This one should be a track meet and it should go over 58.5 without any issue.

Alabama (-14) - Everyone wants Bama until they actually get Bama. Alabama comes into this game 8-0 and they have beat their opponents by an average of 22 points this season. Their defense is good as always but their offense is more explosive than it has been in the past. Tua has thrown for 25 touchdowns passes and 0 - ZERO - interceptions. LSU has got to the point that they are at by racking up four wins against Top 25 teams with the most impressive coming against #2 Georgia. A lot of people are picking LSU to win this one at home tonight but bottom line, Bama will show the world tonight on National TV how they are still a level above everyone else. This LSU defense has been good but they haven’t faced an offense that is averaging 54 points per game. LSU QB Joe Burrow is the talk of leading the upset but this guy has only thrown for 6 touchdowns this season. 6. LSU will look to run the ball and that will be tough for them against this Bama run defense that ranks 20th in the country. LSU’s defense should slow Bama down a bit but the LSU offense still won’t be able to keep up with the fire power of Bama. ROLL. DAMN. TIDE.

MONEYLINE PARLAY FOR PLUS MONEY:

NBA:

Celtics (-3.5) - The Celts are coming off of a big win on Thursday when they knocked off the undefeated Bucks and set a record for three pointers made in a game. They also had some championship energy in the building rub off on them with the Red Sox in the house. They will go on the road to play a solid Pacers team tonight. However, the Pacers are on a back to back and they only beat the 2-7 Bulls by 2 points last night. This Celtics team will be a much bigger challenge than the Bulls were. The Celts have now won 4 in a row and look to make it 5 tonight. They should take care of this -3.5 spread that I think should be bigger. Go Csssss!

NHL:

We have have a slow start to NHL but it will get better. I ran the numbers from last year and you can check them on the track record page but last year on November 3rd, we were at 44% for NHL picks and we finished the season at 59%. As of today Nov 3, we are at 44% on NHL picks and we will finished the season right at 60% or a little above. Keep the faith, hockey will get better. We have had some tough luck to open the season.

Predators / Bruins Over (5.5) - Both of these teams are averaging 29.9 shots on goal per game this season, they get the fucking puck on net and that’s a good thing when you see an over set at 5.5 in the NHL these days. The Preds are averaging 3.54 goals per game and the Bruins are averaging 3.08 goals per game this season. I think both teams will continue to get pucks on net and that will lead to a 5-4 or 4-3 game. Over 5.5.
