11/6 VIP Picks

Well the Cowboys sucked but the Raptors came through and covered without Kawhi even playing. 1-1 for a slow start to the week but we have some opportunities to get the week going tonight. We have some good looking hockey overs and then a prime time College Basketball matchup tonight to open the season up. College Basketball is the toughest sport to bet on and I warn you guys not to go nuts and start betting on random games. It can be dangerous because there are so many games so just be smart about it.

NHL:

Canucks / Red Wings Over (6) - The Canucks have gone over or pushed at 6 in their last 3 games and there were 13 goals scored in their last game against the Avalanche. The Red Wings have gone over or pushed at 6 in their last 4 games with total goals of 7, 7, & 8 in their last 3. Both teams have had a few days off so they should be fresh and ready to play a fast pace game tonight.

Hurricanes / Blues Over (5.5) - The Blues have been playing some high scoring games lately, they have gone over 5.5 in their last 5 games (4 of those games were at home) with total scores of 6, 8, 10, 11, & 9. The Blues have averaged 4.2 goals per game during that stretch and their offense has been clicking. Another nice stat for this one is that the Blues are allowing 3.92 goals per game on the season so the Hurricanes should be able to score some goals for us too. Over set at 5.5 in this one and it’s looking like over city in STL.

Wild / Sharks Over (5.5) - The Sharks have had 7 total goals scored in 4 of their last 5 games. The Wild have had 7 total goals scored in 2 of their last 3 games and there were 6 total goals in the 3rd game. These are two more teams that will square off tonight that have been putting the puck in the back of the net lately. I love me a hockey over at 5.5 especially in the Shark Tank where 4 of their 6 games have gone over 5.5 this season.

NCAAB:

Duke (+1.5) - Well well well, College Basketball is here and what a game we will have to get it started. Duke is an “underdog” in this one despite having the top recruiting class in the country including 3 of the top 5 rated players from last year - RJ Barrett, Cam Reddish, and Zion Williamson (6’7 - 285 pounds). Kentucky had the #2 ranked recruiting class and got 4 players in the top 25 from last year. This Kentucky team does have 6 returning players from last season when they went just 2-4 against Top 25 teams in the regular season and were bounced by Kansas State in the Sweet 16. Duke has 9 returning players from last season where they went 6-3 against Top 25 teams and lost 85-81 to #1 seed Kansas in the Elite 8. Both of these teams will be fun to watch this year but I have to give the edge to Duke in this one tonight based on their returning players and adding 3 of the top 5 players in the country to their squad.
