11/14 VIP Picks

2-1 last night and that basketball over was closssssssssssssse but those are always fun when you end up getting the win. Leafs at -125 was the best value of the night and they go on to win 5-1. Good day and good start to a streak not we need another good night tonight. To the picks.

NBA:

Spurs (-5) - I’m not sure what the books are trying to do with this one but the Spurs played this Suns team in Phoenix two weeks ago and they beat them by 30. Pau Gasol is listed as day to day and Rudy Gay is out but DeMar DeRozan and LaMarcus Aldridge are playing and that’s all I really care about. This Suns team has continued to lose by large margins all season and they have been outscored in their last four losses by 66 points and an average of 16.5 points per game. -5? -5!

4 pt Teaser:

Spurs (-1) / Sixers (-2) - You see the breakdown of the Spurs above where they will be playing a bad Suns team who they beat by 30 two weeks ago. The Sixers will have their new all-star Jimmy Butler making his debut tonight. Some may worry that it may take a few games for the new team mates to “click” but I don’t think there’s any concern for that. They will be playing a Magic team who only has 2 wins against teams with winning records this season. I’m expecting the Sixers to cover the -2 for us.

Moneyline Parlay:

Spurs ML / Bucks ML / Raptors ML / Thunder ML (+163) - There’s no need for any in depth analysis for this one. Each one of these teams are much better than their opponents tonight and we just need them to win straight up without any spreads. None of these teams are on back to backs so they are fresh and there are no concerns there. +163 odds for these four to win straight up should be considered stealing money.

Teaser:

Buffalo (+8.5) / Over (60.5) - This one is payback for us on Ohio who screwed us last week in our MACtion bet. Buffalo comes into this one 9-1 and a win tonight will give them their 10th win which would be the first time in school history. Buffalo can also clinch the MAC East Title with a victory tonight so they have plenty of motivation. On the flip side, Ohio is two games behind Buffalo so it would take a miracle and some help for them to somehow win the MAC East. Ohio does have the home field advantage in this one but we are offsetting that by teasing Buffalo to +8.5. As for the over at 60.5 we need 30 a side and both of these teams are more than capable of putting those numbers up. Buffalo is averaging 36 points per game while Ohio is averaging 39 points per game. The defenses are allowing 22 and 28 points per game but they haven’t been playing offenses as good as they will be tonight. Buffalo’s offense is plenty explosive and balanced - they are averaging 191 rushing yards per game to go with 236 passing yards per game. Buffalo’s top receiver Anthony Johnson (let’s just call him TONY) is averaging 20 yards per catch this season. Like last week, I still think highly of the dual threat Ohio QB Nathan Rourke and I am trusting him to get this offense going to get us some points for the teased over tonight. Ohio had a slow start last week but they showed what they are capable of by scoring 21 in the second half. Love the +8.5 cushion for Buffalo and I think both offenses will be putting up points tonight.
