11/16 VIP Picks

Good night last night going 3-1-1 BUT it could have been a GREAT night. First off we settle for a push in the NFL game which is like kissing your sister and we had to settle for the push thanks to two “catches” that weren’t catches. Maybe I am being biased because I hate settling for a push but neither one of those plays by Lockett were even remotely close to being a catch. He never had possession of the first one and the second one clearly hit the ground. I guess the replay guy for the Packers didn’t see? YOU HAD ONE JOB! Then our one loss of the night came on the ice with the Predators losing 2-1 even though they doubled up the Coyotes on shots on goal 46 to 23….The Cuse/Uconn over was easy money, holy fucking Toldeo was easy money, and Gonzaga was easy money. It wasn’t over by half time so we had to stay up late to see the cover but it was never really in doubt. 3-1-1 for a solid Thursday but we need more tonight! KOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOFSPORTS!!!

NCAAF:

Memphis / SMU Over (73.5) - We have taken a few big overs this season but they have worked out for us. This one is a big one but for good reason. If you combine the scores for these two teams in their last two games you get 109 and 104 points. Will there be 100+ points in this game? MAYBE! If not, it should still go over 73.5. Memphis running back Darrell Henderson is averaging 9.5 yards per carry this season. That’s about a first down each time he runs the ball. This Memphis offense has been high scoring all season and they are averaging 44.6 points per game while the SMU offense is averaging 32.3 points per game on the season but they have scored 45 and 62 in their last two games. Neither one of these teams wants to rely on their defense who are allowing more than 30 points per game. Both offenses should look to play fast and this game should go over!

NBA:

Trailblazers (-1) - The Blazers are coming off of a loss in their last game against the Lakers but they have won 4 out of their last 5 and one of those wins was a 111-81 win against this TWolves team that they will play tonight. The Blazers have been playing good ball all season and they are in 2nd place in the Western Conference. The TWolves have won 2 games in a row since trading Jimmy Butler but I’m not concerned about “new life” in the locker room against this Blazers team that is simply a better team. Go Blazers!

NCAAB:

Syracuse / Oregon Over (138.5) - This one tips at 4:30 EST so you can get your weekend started early by cheering for an over. These are two top 15 teams who lost yesterday but both of their games went over 138.5. Cuse is averaging 75.3 points per game through three games and Oregon is averaging 78 points per game through three games. If they hold true to their averages this game will be in the 150s so we have some flexibility. We need a 70-69 game and I don’t think that should be difficult with these two offenses.

NHL:

Maple Leafs (-120) - The Leafs have been hot and they have won 5 of their last 6 games. The Ducks have lost 3 of their last 5 and they have a -12 goal margin in those 3 losses. Good value on the moneyline tonight due to the Leafs playing a back to back but the flight from San Jose to Anaheim is only 1 hour and 20 minutes. The Ducks are coming off of a 5-0 loss in their last game. Give me the Leafs at good value! WE NEED NHL WINNERS!
