11/24 VIP Picks

Just when we hit our hot streak at 3 days we have an off day yesterday with a few bad beats and losses by half of a point and 1 hole. We have plenty of College Football action today to get the fire going again so let’s get to the picks!

Michigan (-4.5) - Michigan lost their first game of the season to Notre Dame but they have now won 10 games in a row. Ohio State also comes in 10-1 but they have had some shaky games where they ended up winning even though they didn’t deserve to. The snuck by Maryland last week 52-51 in overtime. The problem for Ohio State hasn’t been scoring points, it’s been slowing the opposing offense down. The Buckeyes defense is allowing 24 points per game on average but they have allowed big plays and big points in a few games including last week against Maryland they allowed 51 points or the loss they took to Purdue where they allowed 49 points. I’ll tell you a defense that won’t be allowing 49+ points today and that’s the Michigan defense that ranks #4 in college football with 13.5 points allowed per game. That’s what this game will come down to, Michigan’s D will get stops and from what I’ve seen from the Ohio State defense, they will continue to allow points and big plays. I have Michigan covering in this one, GO BLUE!!

SMU / Tulsa Over (56) - Start off by running through some of the recent results for each team, in thier last three games combined they have had total scores of 66, 68, 68 again, 71, and 112. These two teams can score the ball and they don’t play any defense. Both defenses are allowing 30+ points per game this season. The games have gone over 56 since 2012 when these teams square off head to head with point totals of 62, 66, 71, 83, and 72. Of course there have been different players but this shows how these two programs go at eachother and the games have been high scoring in recent years. Based on the way these defenses have looked this season and the bright spots for each offense at times this season, I think we will see the trends of recent years continue and this one should go over 56.

Kentucky (-17) - Big spread here but you have to do it! Louisville has been embarrased this season especially by Top 25 teams. Top 25 teams have beat them this season by 31, 37, and 61. Kentucky comes in currently ranked #15 and they will get back their top offensive weapon for tonight’s game, Benny Snell. This is a rivalry game but I just don’t see Louisville getting up for this one after losing 8 games in a row and they are just 2-9 this season. This is the last game of the season for them and these players can’t wait to get the fuck out of there. Kentucky wins this one big!

Teaser selections: Play in groups of 2, listed in order of confidence:

SMU/Tulsa Over (50)

Oklahoma State (0)

LSU (+9.5)

Florida (-1.5)

USC (+18)

Celtics (-3) - I’m doing it, hopping back on the Celtics train after a double digit win last night against a team with a losing record, they will look to do the same tonight. There is just too much talent on this team for them to keep sucking so look for them to put together another solid game tonight against a bad Mavericks team.

Moneyline parlay:

Bucks ML / Timberwolves ML / Rockets ML (-162) - Crazy to have -162 odds for a 3 team NBA parlay but with the matchups these teams have tonight it’s actually pretty good value.
