12/9 VIP Picks
They are calling for my retirement! Three straight brutal days and it has been a rough cold streak. The good news is that it’s NFL Sunday.
NFL:
Giants (-3) - The Giants will take on the walking wounded Redskins today who have lost two quarterbacks to season ending injuries and the offensive line is banged up as well. Mark Sanchez will get the start at QB for the Skins and he will hand the ball off to Adrian Peterson a lot today. The Giants haven’t been great stopping the run this season, they are allowing 124.9 yards per game. However, it’ll be easier to slow the run down today because this Skins offense will be very one dimensional with Mark Sanchez at QB. The Skins have lost 4 of their last 5 and 3 of those were by two scores. The Giants have won 3 of their last 5 and they should be able to outscore this wounded Redskins offense today.
Texans (-4) - The Texans have now won 9 in a row and 3 of their last 5 were by multiple scores. The Colts basically handed the Texans the game last time these two played and that started this winning streak for the Texans. The Colts are coming off of a 6-0 loss to the Jaguars and they are now just 2-4 on the road this season. I like the Texans at home today where they have won their last two games by an average of 17 points.
Broncos (-3.5) - The Broncos will continue their playoff push today against a Niners team that has struggled all season. The Broncos have won 3 in a row and 2 of those games were against Top AFC teams in the Chargers and Steelers. The Niners are just 2-10 this season and they have been outscored in their last two games by 45 points. Look for the Broncos to take care of business today.
