2-2 last night so not the night we wanted but not a brutal night. Leafs let us down and we were one goal away from our hockey over. Saturday today and we have a full day of action lined up, let’s get right to it!
NCAAB:
Michigan (-3.5) - Michigan comes into this one 17-0 and they have been a force all season long. In terms of their competition this season, they are 4-0 against Top 25 teams and all 4 of those wins were by double digits. Concerned about them playing on the road today? Don’t be. They went on the road to play #8 Villanova earlier this season and beat them by 27. That is why they are ranked #2 in the country right now. Wisconsin is just 1-2 against Top 25 teams this season and they have lost 4 of their last 5 games. The Badgers have the home court advantage today but they will face their biggest challenge of the season and I don’t think they’ll be able to handle it in the end. Michigan covers for us today, Go Blue!
NHL:
Jets (-120) - Great odds on this moneyline today! Am I missing something in this one? No major injuries for the Jets, they are NOT on a back to back, the Jets have won 4 in a row, and the Stars have lost 4 in a row. Oh yeah and the Jets just beat the Stars 5-1 a couple weeks ago. -120 on the moneyline!? Don’t tempt me with a good time - LOCK!
Panthers / Predators Over (6) - JACKHAMMER - This one has over written all over it. The Predators have gone over 6 in 4 out of their last 5 games and the one game they didn’t go over 6, they pushed. The Panthers have gone over or pushed at 6 in 4 out of their last 5 games. That adds up to 9 out of the last 10 combined games for these two teams have gone over or pushed at 6. I will take those odds tonight. The Panthers are also on a back to back so we should see back up goalie James Reimer in net tonight and he has allowed 3 or more goals in 7 of his last 8 starts. Reimer has allowed the other team to score a 5 piece 6 times this season. I still like the over if Luongo gets the start for the Panthers since he has allowed 4+ goals in 5 of his last 6 starts. Loving the over in this one!
NBA:
Sixers (-130) - The Sixers come in to today’s matchup against the Thunder coming off of a big one on Thursday night where they were +140 underdogs on the road against the Pacers and won by 24. The Sixers have now won 3 games straight and 2 of them have been by 20+. Embiid is questionable to play today due to his back bothering him but I like the Sixers with or without him. The Thunder have been struggling as of late and they have lost 4 of their last 5. They just lost by 10 to the Lebron-less Lakers on Thursday. The game before that, they allowed the Hawks to score 142 points. I’ll take the hot team at home in this Saturday afternoon matchup.
