6-2 over our last two days and although we drank some juice on the lines we played, it’s good to snap the cold streak to get back to winning. Let’s see what we have for today to close the week out strong.
There are no round matchups available today due to play being suspended in round 3 yesterday. So today, we are going to go a different route and take a couple guys outright to win the tournament.
Here is the current leaderboard:
Justin Thomas -13
Adam Scott -12
Patrick Rodgers -11
JB Holmes -11
Michael Thompson -10
Rory Mcilroy is at -8 and Jordan Spieth is at -7.
When play resumes, it will pick up 2 holes into the 3rd round so there is a lot of golf to be played, but there is some good opportunity here to maximize our chances.
Justin Thomas 7-5 - Just over even odds here but about +140. Good odds for a guy who has the lead already, he has three Top 5 finishes this season, and he has 9 PGA Tour victories so he has been there and done that already.
Adam Scott to win 7-2 - Just over a 3.5-1 payout here for a guy who is one stroke behind the leader and Scott is a guy with 13 career victories. He finished #2 in the Farmer’s Insurance Open this year.
So basically we win money either way with Thomas or Scott winning the tourney. If Thomas wins, we win .4 units and if Scott wins, we win 2.5 units. Cheer for them both but pull for Scott to come out on top for us!
Blues (Even) - The Blues will go for ten wins in a row on NBC this afternoon when they go into Minnesota to play the Wild who they will be looking to get revenge on as they are 0-2 against them this season. Although the Wild have won the first two meetings, these teams are in much different places now and I’m liking the Blues to come away with this one. The Wild have lost 7 of their last 8 and the Blues come in winners of 9 straight. I’ll roll with the Blues this afternoon.
Capitals (-185) - The Caps are coming off of a very strong 5-1 win against the Sharks on Thursday and that was a good way for them to get their West Coast trip started. It will get easier for them tonight when they take on the Ducks who got back to their losing ways on Friday night and by losing ways, I absolutely mean losing fucking ways - they have 3 wins in their last 23 games. The Caps are a much better team and they should run away with this one.
Orlando Apollos (-5) - Orlando looked like the best team in the league in week one when they routed Atlanta by dropping 40 points and holding Atlanta to just 6 points. San Antonio got a win last week but it was an ugly win at best when they came away with a 15-6 victory over San Diego. I will take Orlando on the road today after seeing the combination of how good their offense and defense played last week. Let’s go Apollos!
