3/2 VIP Picks

3-0! What a bounce back and what a start to the weekend!! Those of you who got your bets in early yesterday benefited before the lines moved but let’s get it straight, we were all winners last night! We have a full slate of action today so let’s get right into it.

NHL:

Bruins (-1.5) - Can the Bruins get any hotter right now? They have won 11 of their last 13 and they are coming off of a 4-1 beat down of the best team in the NHL (Lightning). The Devils are on a back to back after losing 6-3 to Philly last night and the Bruins should be able to attack this Devils defense who is allowing 3.33 goals per game. Give me the Bs at home where they have outscored opponents 8-2 in their last two games against teams better than the Devils.

Blackhawks / Kings Over (6) - I should just start copying and pasting the Blackhawks over write ups and adjusting the numbers. They have now gone over in 20 of their last 21 games (95 fucking %). They have had 4 games during that stretch with 10 or more goals including the best of all against the Senators where there were 15 total goals. You might get shy thinking the Kings offense is tough to rely on but during their current 10 game losing streak, the over is 7-2-1. They have allowed their opponents to score 4.4 goals per game during that losing streak. The Blackhawks must be licking their chops for this matchup.

NCAAB:

LSU (-1.5) - I guess the line is where it’s at in this one because LSU is on the road. That’s weird though because they are 7-1 on the road this season including a win over #5 Kentucky a few weeks ago. LSU has won 16 of their last 18 while Bama has lost 3 of their last 5. LSU beat Bama by 3 field goals last time they played and yes that’s a football reference because Bama is a football school. LSU comes away with this one and they cover the -1.5 for us. LSU will also get sophomore point guard Tremont Waters back today.

Kentucky (+2.5) - Underdogs? I know they are on the road but they just beat this same team by 17 points two weeks ago. I really don’t think home court is going to make a 19.5 point difference. Kentucky hasn’t suffered a loss since then while Tennessee took an L on the road to LSU since the last matchup between these two. Another thing I’d like to point out is strength of schedule and Kentucky is 5-2 against Top 25 teams while Tennessee is just 1-3 vs Top 25 teams. I have Kentucky taking care of business in this one.

I have another pick or two I’m keeping in my back pocket for later. I will add it/them if we sweep both early College Basketball games. LFG!
