How the fuck does a knuckleballer get busted for performance enhancing drugs
Really Steven Wright? How the fuck does a knuckleballer get suspended 80 games for performance enhancing drugs? That really just blows my mind. I guess maybe he has just seen how the drugs have helped players in the past but dude, you’re a knuckleballer! A knuckleball is strictly a finesse pitch, you don’t need excessive amounts of testosterone to throw a knuckleball, that’s for the guys who want to hit the ball 600 feet.
Career Stats:
2013 - 4 GP, 1 GS, 2 wins, 0 losses
2014 - 6 GP, 1 GS, 0 wins, 1 loss
2015 - 16 GP, 9 GS, 5 wins, 4 losses
2016 - 24 GP, 24 GS, 13 wins, 6 losses
2017 - 5 GP, 5 GS, 1 win, 3 losses
2018 - 20 GP, 4 GS, 3 wins, 1 loss
First things first, before the haters come out, take away the three wins that Wright started in ‘18 and the Sox still won more games than any other team in the league, so fuck off. Second, Steven Wright had that one year of success in 2016 and he must have wanted to get back to that level. What other option did the guy have than to take the drugs? I guess. But the point is that he’s a knuckball pitcher and he still thought that performance enhancing drugs would help his pitching performance. The only thing I can think about that is a valid reason to try it is coming back from an injury it would help speed the recovery process. But wasn’t that injury originally caused by having him pinch run?

That was a different injury but still funny to watch. About as funny as a fucking knuckleballer getting suspended for performance enhancing drugs. Based on his 2019 salary, 80 games without pay is going to cost him $679,012. Ha.
