It’s feeling a bit cold in here 🥶 1-2 last night. There is no excuse to not bounce back today with the amount of games on the schedule. Let’s see what we have to snap the cold streak. Can’t start a fire without a match, I got the matches today. LFG.
Golden Knights (-165) - First game that caught my eye today. They have won their last 5 games including a 3-0 win over the Canucks last Sunday. The Knights truly dominated that game out playing the Canucks in all aspects of the game - shots 48-19, face offs 30-27, takeaways 15-10, and most importantly goals 3-0. Things have not been going great for the Canucks who have lost 4 of their last 5 games. I like the Knights to outplay them again tonight and get us a win. We need it!
Devils / Rangers Under (6) - I don’t care about the meetings between these two earlier this season that both went over. All I care about in this matchup is how both of these teams have been having trouble scoring and can’t put the puck in the fucking ocean right now. Devils scores in their last 5 games 0, 1, 1, 3, & 1. Rangers scores in their last 5 games 2, 1, 2, 2, & 3. They both have losing streaks going with the Devils losers of 5 straight and the Rangers losers of 6 straight. Someone will have to win tonight but it should go under 6. Can we get a 1-0 win in overtime? That’d be great.
Bruins (-1.5) - Saw the moneyline in this one and had to do a double take. -450 and I thought it was a Patriots moneyline playing a Canadien Football League team, actually that would be more like -2200. Anyways, moneyline is unplayable even with our cold streak going. Puck line seems valuable in this one. Bruins are 14-0-4 in their last 18 games and they have won their last 9 home games. They have covered the puck line -1.5 against the Senators in 2 of their 3 meetings this season winning the first meeting in Boston 6-3. Here are some recent results for the Senators against playoff bound teams - 4-2 loss to the Islanders, 5-1 loss to the Lightning, & 7-2 loss to the Capitals. The Bs have beat all three of those teams during their current point streak but the point in trying to make is that the Senators have been outplayed by top level teams. Bruins are a top level team and they should dominate tonight in the Garden.
Ben Bishop must start in net for action on this bet. He is listed as Probable but not Confirmed yet. I will tweet/insta story once its confirmed or not.
6:01 pm update - BEN BISHOP IS NOT IN NET. IM STAYING AWAY FROM THIS ONE.
Blackhawks / Stars Under (7) - I’m breaking this Blackhawks over streak. I liked it the other night but it didn’t work out but I like it even more and here’s why. Yes, these two recently played and the Stars won 4-3. However, the Stars have gone under in 4 of their 5 games since then with the 5th game pushing at 7. Ben Bishop was in net for all 4 games that went under and he’s in net tonight. Bishop has 2 shutouts in a row and the game before that he held the Blues to 1 goal. Bishop wasn’t in net in the last game against the Blackhawks and he is the X factor to snap the Blackhawks over streak of 16 games in a row. You heard it here first.
Nets (-165) - “Pussy! Take the points it’s only -3.5!” I would if we weren’t trying to have the biggest day of our lives but we need that after a couple losing days. I’ll pay the juice on this one to avoid getting burnt. We need this one. The Nets have beat up on the Hawks this season and its seemed like a varsity vs junior varsity scrimmage each time they’ve played with the Nets winning by 16 and 17. The Nets are currently in 7th place in the East making a playoff push but 10 of their final 15 opponents would be in the playoffs if the season ended today so that makes this game against a bad Hawks team a MUST win.
Apollos / Iron Over (34) - The AAF has had plenty of low scoring games in the first four weeks but both of these teams have shown that they can score. The Apollos come in averaging 29.5 points per game and the Iron come in averaging 19.2 points per game. Not sure how the playoff matchups will work for this league but this matchup today should be a preview of the Championship. They are the best two teams in the league so far. Another thing to factor in is that this game is being broadcasted on TNT on a Saturday afternoon - high points = high ratings 😉 take the over in this one it’s only 17 a side.
