Well best case scenario was 2-0 with the JACKHAMMER hitting. Worst case scenario was for those of you who locked in the Lightning/Pistons parlay before it was announced that Blake Griffin was out. You guys split the hammers and still won the Jets pick. Overall a winning night especially for those of you who really dropped the hammer on the Lightning/Raptors 3 units to win just over 1.5. The response for the bracket pool has been great but I’m asking all of you to tell 5-10 more friends about it today! Let’s see what we have for tonight to build on last nights winning night.
Cross sport parlay:
Rockets ML 7:30 EST / Capitals ML 7:30 EST (-118) - Not bad odds at all for these two matchups tonight. The Rockets are red hot and they are 9-1 in their last 10 and I don’t think the Hawks who have lost 3 of their last 5 are going to slow down the Rockets who beat them 119-111 back on Feb 25. No major injuries to worry about or rest because the Rockets are still battling to secure home court in the playoffs (only a 2.5 game lead right now). I don’t see the Rockets dropping one to the Hawks. Capitals get the Devils who they have outscored 9-3 in their last 2 head to head matchups. The most recent cane on Mar 8 when the Caps won 3-0. Devils have lost 8 of their last 10 and they shouldn’t be playing spoiler tonight. Loving this parlay.
Red Wings / Rangers Over (5.5) 7:00 EST - Using a little bit of line reading on this one. The over is -115 but if you look at the team goals on sportsbook.ag, Red Wings over 2.5 is -140 and Rangers over 3 is -150. Books are expecting this game to go over. Both of these teams have allowed their opponents to score 3+ in 8 of their last 10 games. I’m focusing more on these teams being bad defensively than being good offensively. Red Wings are allowing 3.36 goals per game this season and the Rangers are allowing 3.29 goals per game this season. It’s looking like Jimmy Howard will be in net for the Red Wings and in his last 5 starts he has allowed 8, 6, 5, 3, & 2 goals so he has allowed two opponents to cover the over themselves. Henrik Lundqvist will be in net for the Rangers and he has allowed 9 goals in his last 2 games. Here’s a screenshot of the team goal lines that make me like this over even more:
Bruins (-110) 7:00 EST - The Bruins snapped their 3 game losing streak with a 2-1 win over the Blue Jackets on Saturday. They will go on the road to take on the Islanders who they are 2-0 against this season. Tuukka Rask will get the start in net for Boston and he has held the Islanders to just 1 goal in each of the first two meetings this season. The Bruins will also be getting David Pastrnak back tonight who is tied for the team lead in goals scored with Brad Marchand even though he had played 15 less games. That’ll be a nice boost for the Bruins and they should get the win with another good performance from Rask.
