Thanks Sixers. What ever happened to just going out and playing ball to win every game? Sixers get smoked by the Magic. Bruins and Lightning go way over as expected and Blues/Knights got going a little too late. 1-2 last night for our second losing night in 8 days. Let’s see what’s on the table for tonight.
Hurricanes / Capitals Over (6) - Both these teams can put the puck in the net and have averaged about 3+ goals per game (Carolina makes me say about because they are 2.97 gpg while the Caps are 3.37). However, the first meeting between these two teams earlier this season saw 11 totals goals scored when the Caps won 6-5 in a shootout. 11 goals tonight would basically double the over that sits at 6. Both of these teams have recently played the Lightning who have the best offense in the league and those results display to offensive potential when they match up with another good offensive team. The Hurricanes played the Lightning once and the Caps played the Lightning twice in their last 5 games. Three total games against the Bolts and there were 9 total goals scored in each game. Both teams have scored 3+ goals in 4 of their last 5 and if we can get 3 a side tonight we will be cashing. This game will be on NBC Sports Network.
Canadiens (-180) - There’s some juice on this one but it’s a great high percentage bounce back play after losing last night. The Panthers have lost 4 of their last 5 and they have now allowed their last two opponents to score 7 goals on them - Bruins did it Saturday and Maple Leafs did it last night. The Canadiens have won 3 of their last 5 and they actually scored 7 goals themselves against the Sabres on Saturday. The Canadiens are still playing to win as they are in a tight race for a Wild Card spot. I don’t expect a let down from them tonight. If you want better value on this one you can take the puck line although I am more confident in the moneyline and I’ll be hitting it hard. The puck line is +145 and the Panthers have lost their last 3 games by 2 goals or more so there is some value there. The Canadiens have beat the Panthers 5-3 and 5-1 this season.

Celtics ML / Canadiens ML (+123) - The Kyrie drama continues after he called out Coach Brad Stevens after the Celtics blew a big lead against the Hornets Saturday and he will sit out tonight due to “load management.” We know Kyrie is out and Tatum/Horford are still questionable so let’s hold off until later in the day to lock this one in. I’d really like to have Tatum and Horford going for this bet to have action but I’ll be taking it either way it just depends on the injuries before I decide how much I’m putting on it. The Celtics have lost 4 in a row and have blown big leads multiple times but those four losses were all to playoff contenders. Losing to the Cavs tonight would be an all time low for this team and although they haven’t been playing good, I don’t see them dropping a game to the Cavs tonight. We are double dipping on the Canadiens tonight due to their matchup with the Panthers who have given up 7 goals to their opponents 2 games in a row and are coming off of a back to back. The Habs have also beat the Panthers 5-3 and 5-1 this season so they have dominated them in head to head matchups. I don’t see a rested Canadiens team dropping one at home to a Panthers team on a back to back and who have lost 4 of their last 5.
