Am I feeling a little bitter about the back door non cover by Texas Tech last night? Sure. They shouldn’t have let it get to over time in the first place. However, 4-1 on MLB made up for it and 10-1 in MLB since Saturday makes up for it. But side note, fuck Texas Tech for that defensive breakdown on the biggest stage OF THEIR LIVES. You’re up 3, you don’t triple team a guy driving for a layup with 13 seconds left. Let’s keep MLB rolling today, I’ll be at Fenway for the Red Sox home opener.
Red Sox ML / Mets ML (+106) - Chris Sale and Jacob deGROM must start for action in this one. The Red Sox have had a miserable start to the season but let’s chalk that up to starting on the West Coast for the first week and a half of the season. Today will be their home opener and their Championship ceremony where they will be celebrating their 2018 World Series Victory should give them a nice boost of adrenaline. The Super Bowl Champs will also be in the house showing off all 6 Super Bowl Trophies and Brady will most likely be throwing out the first pitch. You want to get a Boston crowd fired up? That’s a pretty good way to do it. Chris Sale will take the mound and he had a good outing last time out only allowing 1 run. He has held this Jays lineup to a .231 avg in 65 at bats. Matt Shoemaker starts for the Jays and he has looked like Cy Young himself this year but that’s been against the Orioles and Tigers. He should slide toward his career average today when he takes on this Sox lineup who led the league in runs scored per game last season. I think getting back to Fenway will spark this offense for us today. Then we have the Mets tonight and we will be taking them in a separate bet as well on the run line. deGROM has pitched 13 innings and has allowed 0 ZERO runs this season. He will take on the Twins tonight who haven’t seen much of him in the past. The Mets will be up against Kyle Gibson who has a 9.64 earned run average on the season and the Mets have a .375 avg in 48 at bats.
Mets (deGROM) (-1.5) - 13 innings, 24 strikeouts, 0 runs allowed 👏🏻 standing O for Jacob deGROM everybody. He should continue his success tonighg when he takes on this Twins lineup who less than half of the guys in it have ever faced him. Good luck with that. The Mets lineup will be up against Kyle Gibson and his 9.64 earned run average who they have a .375 avg against in 48 at bats. LGM!
Brewers (Peralta) (-130) - The Brew Crew take on Matt Harvey tonight who allowed 8 earned in 4 innings in his last start. The Brewers lineup also comes in with a .317 avg in 101 at bats against him. Aguilar, Arcia, Perez, Pina, and of course Yelich have all taken Harvey deep before. Harvey was literally putting the ball on a tee for the Rangers in his last start and things aren’t looking much better for him in this matchup tonight. Freddy Peralta will pitch for the Brewers and he is coming off of an 8 inning outing where he only allowed 2 hits and had 11 strikeouts although that was against the Reds. Only one Angel has faced him before so I think they will struggle a bit especially the first two times through the order. By that point, this Brewers lineup should have already JUMPED on Harvey.
