4-2 again yesterday for another winning day! Final round of The Masters today, MLB, NHL, & NBA. Let’s see what we have.
Tiger Woods (+270) - Book it.
Cross sport Boston parlay
Red Sox ML / Celtics ML (-125) - David Price will start for the Sox and he has held this Orioles lineup to a .245 avg in 102 at bats. John Means will start for the Orioles and he made a big league appearance last September when he allowed the Sox to score 5 earned runs in 3.1 innings. The Celtics will host the Pacers who they beat 3-1 in the season series with the one loss coming by one point. This Celtics team has been up and down all season and you’re never really sure if they will show up and play to the level that they are capable of but when they needed a win to secure home court on 4/5, they beat this Pacers team by 20. Go Sox and Go C’s!
Phillies (Velasquez) (-175) - high price for this one but that’s because the Phillies are taking on Marlins starter Jose Urena who is 0-3 with a 9.22 earned run average. Velasquez has good history against the Marlins lineup and he has held them to a .205 avg in 73 at bats. Loving the Phillies today.
Indians (Kluber) (-136) - The Royals aren’t going to sweep the Indians today and here’s why. Corey Kluber has held the Royals lineup to a .212 avg in a huge sample size of 151 at bats. The Indians will be up against Royals starter Jakob Junis who they have a .317 avg in 43 at bats. I like the Tribe today!
Astros (Cole) (-171) - Another pricey moneyline but the wins add up. The Astros will face Mariners starter Marco Gonzales and the last time they faced him they scored 8 earned runs in 3 innings. They come in with a .400 avg in 40 at bats against him. Gonzales is 4-0 on the season but he is taking his first loss today. Gerrit Cole starts for the Astros and he hasn’t been great against this Mariners lineup but I’m banking on the Astros to tag team Gonzales. Over 8.5 doesn’t seem like a bad play but I’m going with the Astros in this one.
Lightning / Blue Jackets Over (6) - Both of the first two games of this series have gone over or pushed at 6 and the best offense in the league was only able to score one goal in Game 2. Nice trend here that 8 of the last 10 combined games for these two teams have gone over or pushed at 6. That’s enough for me to take the over in this one tonight. Oh yeah and I hope Tampa loses since they cost us in games one and two. I hope Tampa loses 6-2.
Thunder (+135) - The Thunder are underdogs in this one and I’m assuming it’s because the Blazers are home and are the higher seed. I guess the bookmakers aren’t paying attention to the fact that the Thunder went 4-0 against the Blazers in the regular season or they just forgot about it. The Thunder won those four games by an average of 7 points per game so that goes to show how they stack up against the Blazers. I like the Thunder on the road in Game 1 as an “underdog.”
If we sweep our afternoon action, check back in around 5 or 6 EST for a bonus play (or 2).
